Thread: Who can lead us out of depression?

Angry Who can lead us out of depression?

I feel the Irish people have lost their sense of pride. Are we seriously going to accept that the people who put this country in the depths of shit and imminent poverty are taking an extra day off from the Dáil next week? There has been too many incidents of this government taking liberties while us minnions suffer. Not one manager of a bank has been jailed yet, but how many poor citizens have been jailed for mortgage/loan arrears due to unemployment levels this government has failed to prevent.

I could go on for ever!!

We need a new leader, a new Michael Collins, to uprise against OUR OWN government this time.

    Who would you choose?

If you're thinking of rebelling, expect the rest of the country to sit passively back, watching you get destroyed by the authorities. Think 1798, or 1916. Sorry, but that's the way things work here.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

The IMF. Seriously i say bring them in. This lot running this country dont listen, are arrogant, put their own personal pride before ppls lives and are burning the candle from both ends. In all honesty the IMF would be better.

Sadly, you may be right about that.

I think in the short term we would be worse off but in the longer term we would recover quicker. The IMF would slash alot of things but would also slash the cost of living. The gov are slashing lots of things but letting the cost of living stay up.

    doesnt work,
