The Russians have used their veto power to stop the U.N. Security council from classing the massacre at Srebrenica being classed as genocide even though it's widely regarded as the worst in Europe since WW2.

Raises some interesting questions, why is Russia defending Serbias interests, is it purely because they are two strongly orthodox nations and it was a massacre of Muslims? The balkans has struggled with it's religious divisions since the Ottoman empire. Serbia is a proud country with a strong religious identity.

Also is it time to scrap the U.N. Security council, they really do fuck all, 4 of the 5 permanent members are only there because they were victors of WW2

Because a lot of the thugs that fight for Assad regime in Syria are Serbs.

Intersting, I haven't heard anything about that I'll have to read up on it, I can imagine they're mercenaries and Serbia isn't condoning it.

Unfortunately whether people like it or not Rebel ans Government forces need to call a truce and concentrate on fighting Daesh, the true enemy
