Default Vote Yes for Jobs and Recovery ???

Hate to bring this up again.

But the Yes to Lisbon camp had several slogans.

One that sticks in my mind is .

    Vote yes for Jobs.

We heres just a rough tally of the Job losses this week.
Am I missing something or when we voted yes were we not to be greeted with a jobs utopia.

    Linen Supply 200 jobs lost
Aer Lingus 676 jobs lost, the reminder of staff will once again have to agree to a change in work practices and a salary reduction.
    Ge Money 65 Jobs lost
Gallic dist (Citroen) 30 Jobs lost
Waterford Build Providers 18 Jobs lost
Independent Network Print 16 Jobs lost

    Jobs created this week Zero

Ok now I get it they did'nt say where the jobs would be.
Shold have been vote yes for jobs (in Poland)

I'm not trying to be facetious but if it is as you say ' a vote for jobs in Poland' then why did they only sign the treaty at 10am this morning ?

I would have thought if it was so beneficial to the Polish economy then they would have signed off on it long ago.

Only the Czechs are left to push it through I believe.

i think there was a lot of bullshit slogans on both sides. personally i think it was one of the most depressing campaigns i've ever seen. too much twisting of the facts.

Flemish, not German. That's Tania Derveaux on the poster. And sadly, like most polticians, she didn't keep her promise.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

I'm not in favour of The Lisbon Treaty but it would be unfair to blame this weeks job losses on voting yes. It's surely too early yet to see the implications of it.
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.
