    Default opinions on religous beliefs

i just thought i would start this thread on religous beliefs i do not follow any specific religion myself i have to expresse my concern that religion has led so many people to kill and destroy each other. and i cannot comprehend why religion has caused so much death and destruction when it is logically impossibie to prove the presence or absence of any god. i was just wondering what other ladies and gentlemens opinions is on the subject. thanks .....harry callahan

Default Heres my main problems with religous ppl

Firstly they nearly all shame what they belive in.They say their god is great and unconditionally loves all yet also say if you dont follow his rules then he will punish you.How more contradicting can it get.

Secondly they yap on about faith all the time but just look at most of them.A snowball in a fire would have more faith.Their god says to believe and youll receive yet they throw themselves at altars etc in frustration and fear.If i were their god i would fall alseep.

Thirdly, prayer or worship is nothing more than a form of meditation.Nothing wrong with that but they wont admit to it.

Fourthly, they blindly follow whatever pattern of prayer they follow in their religon.By that i mean most just follows the motions.Pop into mass, hail mary and oyr father and off home again.

Fifthly and heres the part i dont get.Alot of religons claim that their god is everywhere which is fair enough, yet most of the followers have to be in a church or a holy site to worship, depsite the fact that god is everywhere.

Sixthly, they over do the praying.Their is a time for prayer and a time for action. If im on a road and a big bus is coming straight at me,i dont want prayer,i want a good pair of runners or a push, maybe some wind.

Seventh, they wont accept other religons and more or less see them as enemies. This alone goes against all forms of religons. Not one religon in the world has the god or whoever say "those that follow other forms of worship are bad".Yet this is how the followers lead.

Eight, they stand by those that apparently represent the god on earth regardless of their wrongdoing.Sorry i dont care if its a cardinal ,pope or whoever, wrong is still wrong.

Nine, they blindly look at life.Again they see their religon and this is what i am and thsi is what i do.they dont think outside the box.For all they know the gods such as Buddah, ali or whoever all represent the same higher power on earth. We dont know.

Ten, they are full of shit. Some of the nastuest deeds i have seen or heard have being commited by religous ppl.I guess it goes along with the lines of god forgives all including cunts.

I can think of lots more but these are just some of my problems with religons

By the way whos to say that all religons are righjt and all are leading to the same power?

    Peace V,

Fighting over religion is like kids fighting over whose imaginary friend is better, pointless. All the major religious figures in my opinion may have been great men but thats all they were men, not gods, most of there words have been twisted and mis-interpreted to the point where they all are a load of crap...

I believe in a higher power.Dont know if its a man or a woman or what colour or way it looks and dont care either.I do my best on this earth and i dont worry about shite.I just do my best and let chips fall where they may.If i have a prob youll find me at the root of it,not in a church or place of worship. Its easy to pray but harder to act on it.
