Default Interesting Poll Result on Journal.ie

Yesterday the Journal.ie ran a poll asking if it should be a crime to pay for sex. There were over 14 000 votes and the results won't have made happy reading for TORL or Ruhama.

66% said it shouldn't be criminalised and just 25% said it should, with the rest undecided.

It would seem that the public have a lot more common sense than our politicians.

Do you believe journal.ie readers are representative of the NI electorate? Or are you commenting on ROI as an impassive observer from a foreign nation?

Neither. I'm commenting on the result of a poll on an Irish website.

Neither is not an option. Given your location status, and your previous postings and admiration for NI based escorts, you must be an observer, as a non participant in ROI internal affairs

Now how about a more intelligent response?

I agree. How about you respond to the content of the poll rather than asking daft questions? This relates to a law likely to be in force across all of Ireland very soon, so my location and yours are and will be irrelevant.

You speak of "our" politicians and then take on a hissy fit when I point out they are not "your" politicians. So grow up ffs
Surely you can appreciate that after last week's referendum result, there are no foregone conclusions...
I would not take anything I read on the journal too seriously...
May be you would like to take some time to read some opinion pieces in the Belfast Telegraph and then share your comments with us on the merits or otherwise of the Ashers appeal...?

Politicians north and south (with a few exceptions) are speaking with one voice on this issue. Perhaps you hadn't noticed.

As for the Journal, this isn't about an opinion piece the Journal has written, it's about a poll with over 14000 responses. Perhaps you don't consider that worth taking seriously, but I think many others would.

I wonder why you would choose to make yourself appear so foolish as to cast aspersions on what you believe I may or may not know about current affairs in Britain and Ireland... A most dangerous assumption considering how little you know about me...

BBC Newsnight ran a piece recently on why and how the pollsters got it so wrong in the recent UK general election. So not sure why we should pay any particular attention to this survey. Has it been reported on in any main stream media outlet on this island?

''Dangerous assumption!!!'' Good man yourself. All the best getting that pole out of your ass.

Read the OP again. Slowly if it helps. This is an online poll with over 14000 responses. Only a quarter of those responses favoured criminalising the buying of sex, a view very much at odds with political opinion north and south. End of story.

It's very curious that your posting style is so similar to a well know escort, where your reply has only the slightest connection to the post you quote. And a failure to deal in an adult way with any point made that does not fit with your immature and closed minded view of the world. Though in Kate's defence, she does refrain from the petty insults...

Don't forget I'm not a real person, merely an anonymous username on your screen...
