Saw that, a little harsh I think, the ball appears to have just oscillated which isn't illegal..

I'm a fan of golf in general , but some of the rules leave me a bit bewildered at times . So the ball edged forward what , a couple of mils , nobody noticed as it was fractional at best , yet Harrington gets stuffed all because of someone with sky+ who has nothing better to do than rewind , watch , rewind watch again , rewind and watch over and over till they notice he broke a nonsense rule and then go and complain . Can anyone honestly say that Padraig deserved that , or any other player in his postion ?

Yeah, golf rules are extremely complex, that's why most people carry a copy of the R&A rules in their bag. I don't think that Harrington deserved that, the rule states that the ball is allowed to "oscillate" (move but not leave its position), however if the ball is deemed to have moved from it's spot then it's illegal.

Rats don't deserve anything. Clearly a case of discrimination against an Irish man by Sky...
