Default England to Win the World Cup ?

With a little under one year before it all kicks off in S.A. , John Terry has already yacked off about England winning it . "If we play like we are we can't rule ourselves out of winning the World Cup" he's said in todays Sun newspaper . The qoute doesn't make sense to me but neither does the English always talking about having the team to win it . Here's hoping they fail again when the tournament kicks off !

right lets start then, im english and proud ov it, i support manchester united as im from manchester (not london like every other red fan), ive been in ireland for 11years and i have noticed about the irish, i have nothing agaisnt them as my parents are irish, but what makes me laugh about the irish is, if they support witch ever team it may be, liverpool, utd, arsenal, chelsea and so on, they go to the pubs and watch the match say utd v liverpool, they are all in the pub had a few beers, theve all got there jerseys on with there names on the back, rooney, gerrard, lampard, scholes, so on and so on english players, if me a utd fan turns around and says to a liverpool fan that gerrard is fucking crap, the guy would probably start a row and say hes the best in the world and shut your mouth or you get a smack, ok fair enough, my point is if the english players play for there teams on a saturday the irish idolise them and will do anything not for people to slag them or there team off, but if you put an england jersey on them 3 days later they are scum and should be burnt and so on, as i said i support utd and if i watch an internaionl game which ever team if a utd player plays for that team i will support them, as for the irish there idols play for england then no way will they support england, so whats the deal lads, u were a jersey on saturday with your idols name on it but wont support them if they were an england jersey, to me they are hypocrites!!!!!!!!!! and im with you the english media are to blame for the hype not the players, have a good day!!!!!!!

It's simple - in a Liverpool jersey Gerrard's a God but in an England jersey he's a scumbag.
In a Man U jersey Roy Keane was a scumbag and in an Ireland jersey he was a God.

What the fuck is it with morons calling it the premiership as though football began in 1992. This is just totally bizarre.

If the name of this website is changed to Escorting Eire would that negate everything that ever happened on here.

By the way as a gooner I acknowledge that Liverpool are THE most successful club in English history - Are United fans so fucking sad that they need to use semantics to slag off the opposition.

    Rhetorical question by the way.

Here's what i can't stand , england haven't even qualified for the bloody thing yet , and your captain is cakking on about winning it . FFS man , i've nothing against the english per say , but when it comes to your national team i want them to fail and fail miserably . As a united fan i cheer for rio and rooney and all the other england internations in the squad when they have the devils crest on their chest , but when they wear the 3 lions it's a different story altogether .
When shearer and lineker and wrighty are on tv for the euro's or world cups , it's constant verbal diarrhea about how great the players are and they have a great chance of winning blah blah and barely a negative comment about how much better they should be playing etc etc . It's the tabloids fault as well because they just love to fill the back pages with interviews with gerrard rooney lampard cole , who all talk the talk but can't walk the walk . And as for the 3 lions on a shirt song , the crowd are only singing about all the yrs of failure to win anything !

I think you may need to hang around for another 11 years to work that one out.

But Ireland are'nt the only ones who have raised beating England to the status of a fetish:
