Let me give you an example using myself as a rule here.I was modding on a diff site before and i will admit i was one of the hardest ones ............ in the forefront but behind the scences was diff story.We had a mods forum that nobody could see only mods.Everyone could see me kicking and banning ppl for abuse on chat but nobody could see the length of the bans and who gave them.The longest i banned someone was for three days.A few were banned perminantly because they continued on and on and on.now keeping in mind that i only ban for a few days alot of the otehr mods were banning for???????Yeah two weeks , a week, a fuckin month.One of them was called a fat fuck (he was) but he banned the person that said that for a month.I saw this same guy leaving rooms when trouble started,i saw him warning when he should have banned etc.Anyway,i looked like the aorst but when it came to the time lost on the site for someone i was one of the more lenient.Incidently i getting stuff back all the time about it and its not good at all.Incidently, i posted on the mods forum in that site saying that alot of ppl will only want to become mods because it was free for mods (they didnt have to pay for the site) and low and behold, sure enough they have ppl that are mods that didnt want mods "before" the site became a pay site.Apparently they have moved on,doesnt look lihe it to me pals.
Now to this place,when i first started modding on here,we had a whole load of anti modding threads.the place was full of them and the site was nothing more than a anti / pro mod one.Patricia did f'all and stayed quiet while BBJ held firm to see how things were panning out.We didnt have any powers to ban so i figured if i cant ban their usernames then ban their posts and so i did.I deleted nearly all the Soap Opera.at that time mods i see so glorious offering their services for the good of the commuinity wouldnt touch the job ,no way would they do it but now after the storm,after the abuse is gone and when calm weather approaches they jump on.
Tell you one thing though Nads ,i dont talk through my hole,i am a person of principle and do things not because of what ppl think or who likes me or not but on what i think is right.
I am done here for one reason and one reason only,i was one of the ones who helped intitially with modding here.The new ones are only jumping in when the storm is gone.I lost out because i was the only one who had the bollox to actually take action against those that were up in arms.I didnt sway with the wind or sit on the sidelines like a few.Funny thing is Ric Flair did the same and it looks like he is losing out too.The same is happening with QPH now.He is the one doing the fighting while some do sweet fuck all only standing by the sidelines seeing which way the wind blows.I have seen it too many times.
Trust me when i say i lost out because i was the one who had the bollox to actually do stuff here but the site loses out too.Thats the unfortunate reality of it.

Agree in large part West but just want to say that many may not have made their interest known to Patricia because they assumed that Patricia was not looking for anymore. That is not the case. I don’t want to put words in her mouth but I am confident that she wishes to always have a pool of suitable candidates to pick from that meet her requirements. Even with new appointments I am sure she still wants a shortlist to draw on. We are not immortal and we will be replaced over the longer term.
All mods both old and new have been and are putting the shoulder to the wheel. I see this every single day. The forum do not see the extent of the efforts and discussions we have but we do work as a team and arrive at a consensus and are still only gelling and coming up with what to do in x y and z situations as we have to act as a unit if at all possible. We are complete strangers but have one thing in common and that is to aid in the improvement of this site for the benefit of all. We cannot do that alone, we need the help off all genuine members to do that.
It is this simple in my view and mainly why I wish to mod and why the shite hurled at me is an irrelevance to me…
Genuine Escorts need genuine Clients…

The payoff from both being able to do that is huge in so many ways.
This site and Forum is the best way to achieve both ends in being able to discuss matters without being shouted down for week after week. There are some simple rules here that are not mine or mods or even Patricia’s…
They are forums rules as everyone had an opportunity to add to them…
Those rules have been ignored repeatedly for years and that is coming to an end. The rules are now going to be enforced on the tiny few who ignore them for the benefit of the majority and we have the numbers to do that now…
The rules are rightly wide in scope to reflect the nature of this site but the worst excess's no longer will be tolerated.
Simple as that…
Times change and times passes and new mods will come on stream and new mods should not be blamed for not being mods when the anti mod thing was going on. That was inevitable but now has passed as mods as a concept is no longer an issue and with Patricia almost doubling her team in a matter of a few days shows that this is road that she has set and nothing is going to change that apart from her changing her mind.
If the price paid by me and Ric and you and also PB don’t forget as he was public enemy number one also for a time by anti mod group is that they or I are hated by a few for simply stepping up to the plate and having a go instead of whinging and griping like some then so be it. I don’t care as the support I have gotten from fellow mods and also some members has been a real tonic to me. You all know who you are and thank you for your support.
I am hugely impressed by new mods only here a short while get stuck in and roll up there sleeves so I ask to draw a line under the anti mod phase as these new appointments are the next phase and did not have to have the shite flung that the older ones did and that in itself shows that forum is maturing and improving…..

If i back the mods "he is only doing that to be a mod again".Ask Patricta the reason why i say that.
If i go against the mods "he is only being vindictive because he was'nt made a mod".
PB was public enemy number one and who jumped on and backed him?I did.
Regardless im in a no win situation and to be quite honest i have a prob with others reaping for what i stuck my neck out for.

I dont see it as a no win or win/loose situation for you Westie. You have the exact same entitlement to share your views and opinions as you've always enjoyed.
There were always posting rules on E-I (at least since I started coming here) but it appeared that when some people found themselves in a debate or arguement, they experienced difficulties in staying within those roles and these difficulties seemed to be getting progressively worse. I don't know why the rules were not enforced more, but I would suspect it may have been a question of the resources available to monitor the community section. The community moderators provide such a resource, but I dont see that role as an instrument to inhibit free speech or to gag individual members. You will know from your own time modding that is was'nt all about censoring posts. The them and us perception was simply the creation of those who demanded the right to say whatever they felt like saying, but would not accept responcibility for any damage that they might cause. Generally it was individual escorts who were the target, because for the bulk of the members, the usernames gave protection from any consequences in the outside world...but others were also targetted.
I dont believe that the vast majority of people on here see it as a them and us situation, because a) many never post anything and wont come into contact with mods, b) most of those who do post are unproblematic and keep to the rules, c) most of those who are'nt convinced of the necessity of community mods and value their free speech, also have a life outside of here, which they get on with and by and large have no problem with posting according to the rules either. That leaves what is probably a handful of members with no concideration for others, too much free time and a propensity to throw a tandrum when they dont get their own way (plus the ability to multiply themselves at an alarming rate). You, amongst the other early mods, played a major role in taking on the bullying, intimidation and trolling that had unfortunately become a major part of the daily diet here and I think the vast majority of people here will be glad that you did this. The answer to those few who want to attack the community mods/ex-community mods is very simple......."Patricia did'nt create them, you created them". But unlike the Lord, who saw that what he had created was good and rested happy on the seventh, they were neither good, happy with what they created, nor are they able to rest because of it. Their lot is to spend eternity wandering cyberspace gnashing their teeth and tearing at their clothes.

No win situations is part and parcel of this place West. You go left and someone is pissed with you and you go right and someone else it pissed off. So what do we do?.... stay still????
That why so much abuse has been hurled our way so as to get us to not move at all. If they could not kill mod concept at birth the next best thing was to make us unwillingly to do anything.
I stuck my neck out to West and don't have a problem with others reaping any benefits. Its only words on a screen, not like we stormed a pill box on D Day or something... but on the principle of not wanting others to reap what you sow.... Would a D Day vet sitting in his old folks home not want the ones after him to avoid what he suffered? Are you saying that all who become mods now and in the future have to run the same gauntlet just because you did? If they do then this place will never advance as every time a new mod is announced the forum is again taken over by anti mod threads.
