In the news today - brothels raided across country

Hi Guys, Has anyone seen the news! 9 Brothels have been raided across the country, some of which are in Mullingar and Athlone, which is were I work from. 6 People have been arrested in Co. Carlow.

For anyone out there, especially other escorts that have been targetted and threatened by a crowd in Athlone, Longford, Mullingar and other counties, then you will all know that these threats come back to the same people time and time again. The numbers of these people are always posted in the warning section by escorts to help other escorts and its always the same numbers that crop up time and time again.

I was given information last year that the threats were coming from a source in Co. Carlow, a *name removed*. AND PLEASE ADMIN DONT REMOVE THIS INFO AS IM NOT GIVING FULL NAMES OR ADDRESSES AND THIS MAN SHOULD BE EXPOSED, I AGREE WITH YOUR RULES ABOUT POSTING PRIVATE INFO BUT THERE COMES A TIME WHEN THE SAFETY OF GOD KNOWS HOW MANY ESCORTS IS FAR FAR MORE IMPORTANT.

I did a search online for the alusive *name removed* and his partner Carmen (also a known pimp - other girls have booked marked her number as Carmen Pimp on their phones)

And yes what did I find, *name removed* phone number was one of the numbers making threats to and physically assaulting independent escorts. He worked closely with his son and daughter by all accounts. I also noticed that the same man runs a string of strippergram agencies, the same number that he used to threaten girls can be found on some of his websites (What a Plonker!)

Anyway the crust of it is ladies, If you are reading, this man was told his time would come, and with 6 people being arrested in Co. Carlow, I would put my money on it that the *name removed* fella has finally been caught. So maybe while we thought that the police were not taking our complaints seriously maybe they were onto him all the time.

Eight people were arrested across Ireland and the UK today as part of an international police operation targeting human trafficking for the sex trade.

Nine brothels were raided in the Ireland in the investigation into the smuggling of women from Brazil, Nigeria and Namibia to be used as prostitutes.

Six people – four women and two men – were detained by Irish police while a 47-year-old Irish man and a 31-year-old South African woman were taken into custody by police in Wales.

Several raids also took place in the North as part of the cross-channel swoop, sparked by a UK inquiry into human trafficking codenamed Operation Pentameter 2.

Bob Lauder, regional director of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca), said the arrests sent out a stark warning to criminals involved in the sex trade.

“We will find you and we will stop you,” he said.

Brothels were raided in Cavan, Drogheda, Athlone, Mullingar, Sligo, Kilkenny, Enniscorthy, Newbridge, and Waterford.

Another six locations were searched in Carlow, where six people were arrested on suspicion of organising and managing prostitution.

The four women range in age from the mid-20s to early 50s, while one of the men was in his early 20s and the other in his early 30s.

They are being questioned at Garda stations in Carlow, Kildare, Naas, Kilkenny and Tullamore under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The man and woman arrested by Soca officers in Pembrokeshire in Wales are being detained on suspicion of human trafficking for sexual exploitation and control of prostitution.

A number of items were taken away for forensic examination, while separate searches were also carried out by the PSNI in Newry.

Mr Lauder said people traffickers working across international borders could no longer consider themselves unassailable as police forces come together to tighten the net.

“Joint working with the PSNI, An Garda Síochána, Dyfed Powys Police and UK Border Agency have resulted in these arrests,” he said.

“I want to thank all our partners who were intrinsic to the success of this operation.”

Publishing the real name of a man you think is behind some recent threats and was also arrested today (you are 90% sure it was him you say in your other posts) supposedly for the safety of other escorts is not ok. What if you are wrong, what if the man you are naming is innocent... You admit yourself you are only 90% sure? Also, even if you are right, how does publishing his real name here help escort safety?
