    Exclamation Antoine Leiris post.

This man has the perfect response to the attacks on Friday,it's hard to read never mind comprehend the power of this message.

The husband of a woman killed in the Paris attacks has written a touching message to the “love of my life” and promised to raise their 17-month-old son “happy and free”.

Antoine Leiris, whose wife Helene Muyal-Leiris was among the 89 killed in the Bataclan concert hall attack on Friday evening, posted an emotional message on Facebook.

Mr Leiris, who first met his 35-year-old wife 12 years ago, told the attackers he would “not grant you the gift of my hatred.”

In a post – shared more than 60,000 times by Tuesday morning – Mr Leiris said in French he would raise their son Melvil “happy and free” and that responding to “hatred with anger is falling victim to the same ignorance that has made you what you are.”

“Friday night, you took an exceptional life - the love of my life, the mother of my son - but you will not have my hatred. I don't know who you are and I don't want to know, you are dead souls. If this God, for whom you kill blindly, made us in his image, every bullet in the body of my wife would have been one more wound in his heart.

So, no, I will not grant you the gift of my hatred. You're asking for it, but responding to hatred with anger is falling victim to the same ignorance that has made you what you are. You want me to be scared, to view my countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my liberty for my security. You lost.

I saw her this morning. Finally, after nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago. Of course I am devastated by this pain, I give you this little victory, but the pain will be short-lived. I know that she will be with us every day and that we will find ourselves again in this paradise of free love to which you have no access.

We are just two, my son and me, but we are stronger than all the armies in the world. I don't have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.”

    Very sad indeed.

I see they have got the mastermind of the bombings. I have to congratulate the French government in their proactive take no prisoners approach to this.

This terrorist group want us to hate ALL Muslims, its their wish and some grant them this by spewing hate and ignorance towards Muslims. this man's post is as effective as a cruise missile. To defeat ISIL we need to treat them like a cancer, hit them with lethal laser accuracy but do not demonise the rest of the Muslim community Kill the cancer but not the patient. If we can show Muslims that we can see past this barbarism and not paint all with the brush of anger and ignorance they ISIL will begin to fail, This man has just done that.

Do you think that refugee passport is a mistake in Paris? again they want us to turn or backs on refugees their may be a few terorists but a few in over 1 million. In chess when a piece is sacrificed you need to look at your opponents motive/plan. Perhaps we need to stop reacting and start thinking , those who go on with deport all Muslims well believe it or not but you are giving ISIL exactly what they want, you are actually their ally when you react this way, so well done this man in Paris , ISIL are a terror but they want you to react that way so dont . The reality of Paris the vast majority are home grown but the focus is on refugees, just how stupid is that we are being manoeuvred by ISIl and we are falling for it.

the execution of the Norwegian hostage when Norway has no part in this other than to accept large numbers of refugees ? again a desire to turn all Muslims into de facto ISl members me thinks

It is true, and a sad reflection on people in general, opinions are often now made by what is read on social media and sadly not enough of us stand back and see the bigger picture.IS are perfect examples at the moment of what can be done in this regard.

Much of the Islamic world would have contempt for your liberal ,hand wringing, post colonial guilt,non-religious world.Surgical strikes to target the cancer of Is/isil/isis/Daish is a misnomer. There will always be collateral damage, part of which will be antagonizing some more Muslims. The middle East has a history of cities and civilisation stretching back for thousands of years while our ancesterors were beating around the bushes gathering nuts and berries. They do not however have a tradition of open ,free elections and democracy. They have a long history of kings, strong men and military leaders.Recent Western meddling in aiding the removal of certain dictators has merely contributed to the chaos. The middle East is riven by tribal ,religious and ethnic divisions that long predate any European involvement .And plenty in the Islamic world would look at us Westerners as a 19th century imperialist might look at Africans ,with what they would see as our obscene ways of living and dressing and acting. To a lot we are Qufar/Kafir.There are no easy solutions to any of this except as far as is possible to try to prevent further terrorist outrages in Europe (preventing them elsewhere is beyond the West's power)and not to cause any more instability or own goals with any future intervention or interaction with the Islamic world.

I have taken the time to study the religion I am aware of the issues, i also know many Muslims from here and other countries who would not see themselves in what you have said. as to collateral damage this I agree. as to post colonial and wringing etc i suspect this is more your perception/ bias than my words ,really do not know where you got that from. The Washington post has published a v similar article if you can believe that. The middle east has a complex history to say the least. Our meddling has not helped but its a wee bit too late now is it not
Your assumption that all/many Muslims hate our way of life is quite frankly the worst form of ignorance. their are millions of Muslims who remain peaceful and integrated into society. Where is your evidence of this. When the IRA was bombing the UK most English people were sensible enough to know we were not all raging killers thankfully people making baseless assumptions were not given too much oxygen back then

Exactly how do you believe we can protect Europe a wall, more bombing to add to the 1 trillion dollars worth already spent. You do not address the refugees i note or are they all also to be turned away, perhaps you should try to think more creatively instead of the repetitive broken/wrong key thinking to unlock the problem nor do you address ISIl who have killed more Muslims than any others. To win this war with ISIL we need to not only defeat them but to do so in a manner that is seen by the majority of Muslims as self defence and fair. Hand wringing post colonial my ass seriously , but i do agree with your historical analysis of the region , just a shame you feel the need to place ill informed labels on others. BTW if the free movement of people is heavily restricted it will possibly put Europe into recession again I suspect that suits the ISIL agenda
