Excellent post James.
Most people know where i stand on the whole review system and the TR badge. It does need a complete overhaul.
Until something is done i have refused to review and this is my stance until it is changed.
I will chew on this for a while and post my thoughts later. I would like to know what the moderators are doing on the recent ratted reviews thread.
Boys and girls this is a serious topic so lets keep it on topic if we can.
I don’t think many of you guys realise what the Trusted Reviewer concept was supposed to be in the beginning. Each guy can have a different experience with an escort and I have seen cases where a trusted reviewer had a good experience with a lady and another trusted reviewer had a very bad experience or a mediocre experience with the same lady.
Not all of you are looking for the same things. There are some common points, of course: accuracy of pics, advertised services are provided, hygiene / being accommodating etc … But for the rest of you, things can be very differently. This applies to all clients in general. Nobody is right or wrong here, people just like different things and any combination of those things is possible.
What I think James and others who agreed with him are looking in a Trusted Reviewer is someone with a similar outlook on escorts, looking more or less for the same type of escort, of the same type of services. So guys with a similar taste in escorts, could decide easily if an escort is worth going or not, because the reviewer they personally trust has gone there before.
But this could never work. Because what James and a few others are looking for is not always top priority for another group of Trusted Reviewers that prioritise things differently. Think about how different some of the trusted reviewers can be. Compare Ber and Jamescork; or Milfhunter and RicFlair (random examples).
In the first case, the reviewers would very rarely visit the same escort or even escort type. In the second case, the outlook on an appointment is totally different where fetishes are involved.
The examples could go on but I think it was clear enough.
While some Truested Reviewers do have some things in common, this is not always the case. That means, you can never come up with a GENERAL Trusted Reviewer criteria that covers everybody and everything.
Silly suggestion: You can if you wish divide into groups, based on the same personal preferences in escorts. Within the group, discuss all the escorts you like or not, “to do lists”, copy and paste reviewers there for a simplified view etc.
Coming back to the start of my post:
Trusted Reviewer criteria has been established in regard to “we guarantee that those reviews are not fake – we know and trust those people based on some relevant checks”. It was in no way meant as “if this guy says so, it must be so because you’re all alike :D”.
Regarding the number of Trusted Reviewers lately - yes, I think this needs to be looked at. There are really too few of them, mainly because not everybody is happy to request it. Let all come with some suggestion ... maybe :)
This is a mine field we are looking at right now and I think that the system we have now is fine. If you visit a lady a few times and then move on, the lady in question knows you and is able to recommend you to others. As you move on and see more ladies a few times then they get to know you as well so you build up a reputation and get references. These ladies can now get together if they like and recommend you to be a TR if you want to. Thats what happened in my case. I dont see many new ladies because its my preference not to. But when I leave a review its and honest one. I have had quite a few PM's asking for assurance about some of my reviews on various ladies which I think is encouraging. It proves that the TR system is taken at face value.
I do my booking two ways. By PM and by phone. By PM the lady knows exactly who I am and is at liberty to check me out. When I book by Phone I always mention E-I and then Monkeynut. This allows the lady to check me. I do this because I have checked her so she should be at liberty to check me. For me its a comfort thing. I prefer my appointment to be a relaxed and safe environment for both of us.
NEVER have I mentioned that I am a TR and never will I. I never mention reviews during my appointment either. Anyone who does, in my opinion, should never be a TR. Any TR who 'flashes his badge' should be stripped of it as it is a form of intimidation towards the lady.
Those are my thoughts
Monkeynut
I think SD makes a very good point here.
Every genuine reviewer here is entitled to their own prefereneces and should not really be judged on that. It is up to us as punters to read the reviews and try and find a fellow punter whose preferences closer mirror our own.
This may be over simplyfying things but what would everyone think about taking away the trusted reviewer badge completely and instead highlighting reviewers who are known to be fake?
Possibly would not be practical but would like to hear everyones thoughts.
I think the system works fine for the established (ie those here a while that have lots of reviews) escorts, but does not help the new escorts at all.
I would rarely go back to the same escort, so I am not going to get references. No big deal, as I post and anyone can ask me.
But I am reluctant to try new escorts without a number of reviews, or a reviewer I know I can trust. But the chances are that a trusted reviewer is not going to visit a new escort. So I believe it would really help these new escorts if there was a better method of establishing trusted status.
Just to add a little... recently I visited an escort that another TR raved about. I PM'd him and he was still raving about her. So off I went and while she is a great lady and I had a good time, I was expecting a lot more and I have visited much better. Its a case of different opinions at the end of the day. However his view on the basics - pics etc - was spot on.
Maybe we should look at the review template as well as TR's
I get what you are saying, but I would hope that ALL KNOWN fake reviews/reviewers already have a rat on them.
The way I look at it is, that reviews fall into 3 types.
1. Trusted and vouched for by the site.
2. Ratted and proven to be linked with suspicious behaviour.
3. Un verifyed, so read into it whatever you like. But there are some you get to know through the boards or through them giving reviews that match your own.
OOORRRRRR WE COULD FOLLOW THIS SAGE ADVICE:
