Sorry to read about you loosing your pet annabel, they bring so much pleasure into our lives and their passing is always very sad time and it seams that only animal lovers understand the feeling of loss one experiences. As to your feathered friend in the white waistcoat charge him rent or make it more difficult for him to perch in his preferred spot. A suggestion would be to hang a few old CD discs in the area where he perches and their movement coupled with the reflection of light from their surfaces should give him the message to as you so politely stated TUCK OFF.

I wouldn't actually shoot him, well he does mock me but no I dislike cruelty the bate traps sound worse than a quick bullet
I rather find humane ways as much as I hate his face
