Do smart women intimidate men?

Do smart women intimidate men. and indeed other women, and are they sexy or just plain annoying?
I am often judged on my overweight size, but is a sexy yet smart woman a turn off?

So a pretty young lady is articulate, and can debate politics with the best of them. She enjoys current events and has a keen interest in science, technology and finance .
Perhaps she is inline to make partner in a law firm or on the board?

But is she sexy AND too much of a challenge for men?
Perhaps her girlfriends, prefer to discuss Justin Bieber, or the latest diet fad?
Ive witnessed some of my lady friends and work colleagues switch automatically into playing dumb in the presence of guys??

Perhaps, when a man goes out with a woman, he’s not as concerned with whether she’s articulate or on a successful ambitious career path. That’s what women seem to want in men and they assume it’s of equal importance to them. Men do value intelligence, but they also want from their girlfriend what they cant get from colleagues, the warmth and companionship

I have even read that if a woman is more successful than her husband, than he is more likely to cheat??.

Ladies, have you ever been turned down because of your intelligence?

Lads, have you ever steered clear of a lady because of her intelligence?

I know plenty of smart women who are gorgeous. Its when some women they lose their femininity that I lose interest . I love women who are soft not hard, who are peacemakers not aggressors, who are nurturers not selfish and who care about being physically attractive to the opposite sex ! :D

I have to agree, only stupid men will find themselves intimidated by intelligent women; or more specifically, by the mere fact that they are intelligent.

I've certainly found myself 'intimidated' by some women in the past, both in the sense of feeling too shy to approach/speak to some, typically associated with them being very beautiful, and also in sense of being put-off by others, usually due to aggressive attitudes/behaviours.

These things are seldom one and the same I find. It is certainly possible for a woman to be beautiful and intelligent, WITHOUT being aggressive or off-putting. A nice conversation with an intelligent woman can be quite stimulating... ;)

Intelligence and confidence are two extremely attractive qualities in women, and if they are physically attractive too then that is a bonus.

The worst kind is when a woman believes in error that she is smart or intelligent :lmao:

A lot of my female colleagues are intelligent and physically attractive but there is a hardness to their personality I don’t find attractive. They seem to carry a chip on their shoulder about how difficult it is for a woman to achieve the same level of success as a man, and the choice and sacrifice they have to make of family vs career where men can easily have it all.

I can understand their point but personally I find more carefree women attractive and I’d rather have fun with a less intelligent woman than an all night debate with an intelligent woman. I wouldn’t put it down to being intimidated, just personal preference.

If you visit independent escorts you won't find many that aren't smart. You can't survive in that complicated world without a lot of wisdom and mental strength.

Here is my take. Guys are fighting and competing in the business world every day. Our role is to provide and therefore we gotta do it, that's life, So its nice then to relax in the company of a member of the opposite sex who brings something different to the table.
