Uploading music file

I am trying to upload a song for a thread but it keeps failing.:confused::confused:
I am obviously going about it the wrong way so, can any of the experts who regularly do it give me a bit of advice???

If you can get it on youtube , just copy and paste the link, otherwise havent got a clue

If the song is on a website you should still be able to put up a link to it via insert link (the globe with the infinity symbol in front of it)
If its on your pc you can upload it to a Hotfile and then post the link..
