Fucking moron. Every industry has parallel illegal versions of it along side. There was a family wiped out on an English motorway a year or so a go by a haulier that tampered illegally with the tachograph and drove enough to fall asleep at the wheel. Should ALL lorries be put of the road because the people that run bent do? Its an awfully short sighted view of the world.

Benson is probably one of the greatest manipulators of distorted facts in the entire nation. Remember she has a fat salary that she attempts to justify by foul means.

On a related issue has anybody else received a Seanad Newsletter from the Batty Chick? In it she re-states her intention to "work to ensure that the Sex Offences Bill progresses through the Oireachtas,
to criminalise the purchase of sexual services- a fundamental reform of our law on prostitution". Not sure if she paid for this newsletter sent in an Oireachtas post paid envelope or if funding came out of fake socialist or
public funds.

It's refreshing to hear that at least some politicians realise & acknowledge that not all escorts are trafficked & many are working of their own free will.

As for Ms Benson saying that sex work is not 'normal work', it is 'normal work' & should be recognised as such. It is my chosen line of work. I am the same as every other self employed indidival & therefore should be recognised as such.

Is spending your lifetime working nights in a cold store normal? What about spending your working life in a tiny lorry cab at the far end of Europe away from your friends family for weeks at a time? What about oil rig workers or merchant seamen that are away from their homes for months at a time if not years at times in pretty dangerous conditions? Is scraping dead bodies of the motorway for a living normal?

There's alot of work that alot of people would not consider normal, but are essential in society. Just because Benson couldn't or wouldn't do anything out of her own comfort zone doesn't mean it should be banned.
