The UK government is set to perpetrate its kerb crawling laws in Northern Ireland. Things aren’t bad enough for the working girls of Ulster, it seems, so they’re going to have to be pushed into the dark back alleys to do trade, where they’re more at risk:

According to the Council of Europe, the UK and Ireland are the only countries in the continent to commit this nonsense. Westminster has recently managed to exacerbate the mess by not only fining lads, but stealing their cars to boot.

Scotland’s just recently perpetrated kerb crawling laws and has already achieved a rocketing number of attacks on street prostitutes (good ol’ Scotland).

Both countries are actively pursuing the “Swedish Model” - which may sound sexy, but which involves punters being heavily fined and potentially jailed for up to 6 months simply for being a punter. And yes, it involves all escorts, not just street workers.
