Do you think the verified photo system is working?

what's the story with verified photos? i know how they are supposed to be verified. but i don't think its really working. this is just a suggestion, but if the photo can't be verified, it should not be put up. in other words, i don't think there should be photos awaiting verification displayed on profiles. verified should also mean verified. if the picture can't be 100% verified, then don't allow the photos. there are so many obvious fakes on here it's unreal. if the girl cannot submit a picture of herself holding a sheet of paper with the words ESCORT IRELAND and the date, or the front page of the newspaper of the day, then she should not have photos on her profile.

it's not like the time when ad were only text in newspapers. when someone visits an escort, they have a right for the girl to look like her profile pictures. they will even tell you their photos are real in their profiles. i tend to avoid them straight away.

i think 100% verification is the only way of weeding out the fakes. i'm not having a go at the people that verifiy photos at the moment, but it's obvious to me that the system dosen't work right now.

i have seen other escort site have an option to show the verified photo that was submitted. that is propably something that could be looked at.

it would be great if everyone who vied this thread would just take the time to vote. it won't take long and it will show what the feeling out there is like, and i'm including escorts that have real pictures up on their profile. because i know there are some. but personally, i am off the opinion that more 40-50%, possibly higher, are using fake pictures

I have to agree in part with this post. If a girl is unwilling to use a photo that is real then just have a grey out box. In regard to the person’s privacy, the face could be maybe a little blurred, but yet still allows the client (paying customer) make an informed choice. I don't expect all escorts to be like models, but it is unfair to the client when false images are used which really means to all intensive purposes a con job. This has to be really annoying to the other escorts who are willing to use real and proven images. I have in the past been duped by some of these escorts, but now only go when I can read and verify the escort on the EI site.

some of the profiles do show the escorts face, so, if their pictures are real, and faces are shown they shouldn't have a problem showing their face in a verification photo. for those that choose not to show their faces, the verification photo will be first seen by the ei staff, not punters. if the escort dosen't want to show her face in a verified photo, i'm sure that she could ask the ei staff to blurr out her face. but if she has her face on her profile pictures, then she obviously dosen't have to worry about the verification photo. i really don't think it would take too much effort on the part of the ei staff to put a system like this in place, but it is totally up to themselves. i am just making a suggestion. the site is generally good, but like with everything, there can always be improvements made. i just giving my tuppence worth.

I strongly object to the suggestion to 'having a gun' put to my head that the only way I should be allowed to advertise is that I HAVE to allow reviews or HAVE to have my face shown. It's my choice & a choice I am entitled to have, I am not an escort 24/7, I too have an everyday life where I prefer not to be recognised.

the way i see it is that its impossible to have every verified but not 100% of escorts want it. The top escorts who are right up there with reviews will always have the advantage over those that dont. the top reviewed escorts are all verified youll find. Its up to the others to do the same or always be at a disadvantage business wise.Having said that i can understand a girls reasons for not wanting it.

i can't see why the only way to have your photos verified is to allow reviews. they are 2 seperate things. there is no reason why they can't be treated as such. you're right sandy, it is your entitlement to allow or not allow reviews. but that shouldn't have a bearing on your photos being verified or not. the way your pictures are done is perfect. you have your face masked out. but there is no reason that if you submitted a photo for verification as i suggested earlier, that the ei staff couldn't do something similar to protect your anonimity. this would then allow your profile pictures to be classed as verified, and a verification picture to be uploaded.

blondey. i have looked at your profile, and also agree with your post that because you live and work in ireland, you don't want to be recgognised everywhere you go. but your profile bothers me a little. i don't believe that your picture is accurate. there are a number of reasons for this.

1. you claim in your profile that you are a genuine 40DD. looking at the picture, i don't think the ladys bust is 40DD.
2. also, you say that you don't want to be recognised everywhere you go, yet you haven't hidden your face. i know it's in profile, but if you didn't want to be recognised, you would have hidden your face, and not take the risk of being recognised. something like what sandy has done with her pictures. That leads me to believe that you won't be recognised through the picture, because it's not of you.
3. i have attached a couple of pictures of 40DD breasts, and blondey, they look a bit bigger than yours.

to b honest though. there are much more obvious fake pics out there, but i'm not going into any of them now, and before anyone accuses me of something, i am not picking on anyone. i'm just making my observations, and i am sure that i am not the only person to form such an opinion. the only way that things can be improved is if there is a general discussion, and people have an input into it. there are probably others out there, both punters and escorts, that may have ideas on how to improve things. if so, just post on here or get in contact with ei. because, in my opinion, the system at the moment is not working.

i know that your photo is not verified. that is the reason i found your post about not being recognised funny. are you now admitting that it is not you in the picture? if thats the case, i would call on the staff to take down the picture. i'm sure that your regulars could confirm that you are 40DD, but that's not what this thread is about. it's to show that the verified photo system is not working. it may be in this case, but it may also be unverified because you don't allow reviews. and as that's the case, the photo would be automatically listed as unverified. and can i ask you this, if the picture is not of you, why would you put up a picture in the first place?

The only way your photos will have 'verified' mark is if this is confirmed in reviews. As for EI staff meeting the girls to verify photo, with over 300 girls in all areas of Ireland, Republic & Northern, each week I dont think this is an option. I chose to opt out of reviews, if I lose business because of this that's my choice & the risk I'm prepared to take. I would rather lose business than have my face blatantly visible for all to see, I pay to advertise on this site & no one has the right to tell I'm not entitled to such anoymity just because I am an escort.

Not an easy one -

I base my choice on a combinationof photos, services and sampling of reviews - not foolproof and out of the twenty or so E-I escorts I have visited I think around five did'nt look anything like the photos - so around 75% were accurate.

The problem is that visual images are what most of us pick up on and this will always unduely influence choices.

Still I would rather have a photo even if their are escorts using fakes - one thing though - I never pick an escort without a verified photo - probably the safest option.

i have to disagree with your statement. i don't think that the only way to verify photos is by the review system. i in fact think that would be very unreliable as the review system is open to the same sort of abuse, which i won't get into now. i don't think that the ei staff would personally have to meet every escort to verify if their photos are real. that would end up like the passport office recently and would be a work to rule with a massive backlog in no time.

i also don't think it is right that if an escort opts out of the review system, that her picture automatically become unverified. i don't think that is fair. if you look at the first post of mine on this thread, you will see what i suggested to verify escort photos. i think that it would be the most reliable way of doing so, and i don't think that it would make any more work on the part of the staff.

i know you say that you would rather lose business than have your face displayed, but there is no reason, in my opinion, that your photos, as you have them on your profile at the moment could not be verified. all it would take is for you to submit them to the staff, with a photo of you holding a newspaper or something like that and just ask them to hide your face as you have already done. and yes, you do have a right to you anonimity. but this would not affect it in any way. i do believe that this is the only way to have anything close to having "verified" photos.

What I was saying is that the only way you get a 'verified' photo sticker put on, is, if you receive a review saying that "yes the photo was accurate", there isn't any other option available to verify the photos, maybe the answer would be if there was a system implemented for guys just to submit 'genuine photos' instead of submitting reviews. There is nothing to stop pimps submitting reviews on their girls as 'verified' nor will a 'genuine photos' system stop any fraudulent reports being lodged, at the end of the day, either system is open to be being abused.

I don't see why the EI can't adapt their rules regarding verified photos for ladies that wish to opt out of the review system, especially for escorts like Sandy that regularly tour Ireland. I mean, once you supply a photo that can be verified as genuine, whether you allow reviews or not, it should show as verified pic.

i can't see the thinking behind not allowing an escort's photos to be verified if she decides to not allow reviews. if you have a genuine photo of the escort, then i think she should be entitled to have her profile photos displayed as verified, whether she allows reviews or not. It's not as if she decides to not allow reviews that she is going to morph into someone else.

i am glad that an escort has come out and sees where i'm going with my suggestion. i agree that if an escort shows her face on her profile pictures, then she should not have a problem submitting a photo of herself holding a newspaper or a sheet showing the words escort ireland to the staff. i also don't think that this would creat any extra hardship on the ei staff. i also agree with you that if she is not willing to show the ei staff a verification photo, that she maybe shouldn't be allowed to post any pictures on her profile, because lets face it, how can her photos be verified in that case. others have suggested that the review system should be used, but if an escort dosen't want reviews, then how can you verifiy photos that way. anyway, i don't think the review system would be a reliable way for photos to be verified.

i see that you quoted me on my earlier suggestion of having an option on the escort profile showing the "photo upload for verification". i know you haven't read all the thread, but i did suggest that only ei staff would see this photo unedited. if the escort wanted her anonimity protected, she could ask the staff to hide her face once they are satisfied it is a genuine photo. it could then be uploaded onto her profile with her face hidden. again, i don't think this would be much extra work on staff, and i really believe that it would stop all the countless fake pictures, and escorts changing pictures. you would have a girls verified photo, so if she changes her profile, you would quite quickly and easily be able to make a call on her photos being genuine or not. because, in my opinion, the system does not work at the moment
