Saw this on the news at 6 tonight . He will be sentenced before 9 pm tonight and i'm hoping the judge shows no mercy . He only allowed his mother out once a week to collect her pension . The article has somewhat surprisingly left out that he kept them naked at times :mad:

I think 15 years is a bit harsh considering the sentences handed down in the past for other offences, but it's about time the courts started to get tougher. I forgot to say, I thought 10 years would be a reasonable sentence.

I am not talking of petty crimes or crimes the state has unjustifiably criminalised whether sex or drug related.
I am talking of dreadful crimes which any right minded person would fine repellant: rape - torture - murder etc.
If another punishment could be implemented which would be both affordable and satisfied the needs of the victim, would this be acceptable to society?
