Tipperarys John Doyle has died, he was prob best corner back off all time
he had 8 all-Ireland 10 munster 11 national league medals plus 3 county
medals with his native Holy Cross -Ballycahill.

Yes indeed a frightening opponent for any young willow corner forward to meet - certainly a great player of his time though i don't know whether the more modern 'ball only' game would suit his strongest traits as a member of 'Hells Kitchen'.But i guess when you see the list of accomplishments that Ber has outlined above you'd simply have to say 'an all-time great'.

I think he may have adapted very well to the modern game, he was an intelligent player
and apparently a great athlete aswell. His athletisism well proved by the fact he won his
medals spanning 3 decades
