Some with anal references, always associated with money. Filty lucre, dirty money, tight-arse, etc. It stems from Freud's theory of being 'anal retentive', when the child refuses to part with its poo during the 'anal' stage of the psychosexual development:

I believe that a lot of Freud's theories are valid, and many psychologists base their treatment on the Psychoanalytic approach to psychology, it's just that people don't really like the idea of children and sexual development. We are but simple creatures based on impulse and instinct, really, whether people acknowledge it or not, it's just that society teaches us to repress these urges. And the Church. :rolleyes:
