Have had a lot of Christmas time where I wore short sleeves but Christ I was half a world away.
I remember growing up here and there was a definite season change not anymore though it seems
Ireland......... NW Atlantic.
Prevailing winds from the SW.
Any increase in average global temperature can power more wind and evaporate more water from the ocean. Leading to more wind rain and cloud over IrelandSo in effect global warming could lead in effect to cooler(not warmer) wetter summers, and milder, wetter, less frosty winters for Ireland. Thus bringing less seasonal change in the weather here.
I am convinced that when some Irish first heard the term '' Global Warming '', they expected to be growing oranges and dates in the back garden and seeing camels in the fields.
When that's looks unlikely to happen they discount G. Warming on the evidence of 1 or 2 bad summers.
However these cooler, cloudier, wetter summers may in fact be added to due to G. Warming in this small spot on the planet.
