i'm not sure what the story is at the moment?! is it illegal to use the service of an escort in ireland?, if so, why aren't the garda doing anything about it? like clearing out the brothels? and what are the charges and penalties if we got caught in a raid???

The whole problem is living off immoral earnings because of tax evasion more than anything else. The real hilarious thing about all of this is this. Appparently its ok for a politician to accept cash and not pay tax,its ok for a real wealthy person to live outside in a tax haven like the Bahamas and fly into the country to do work without anyone knowing that are in the country. Its ok for a senior politician to drive down the wrong way along a dual carraige way ,langers drunk and not be jailed, yet a woman running a brothel (please tell me which is worse) is jailed.
Again democracy in a nutshell. The rich get richer ,the poor get poorer and everyone else stays the same. I mean the newpapers for eg. They yap on about a woman living off immoral earnings yet overcharge the fuck out of people for putting ads up. Seriously overcharging greed. Legal fuckin greed at that.
If the Irish goverment finally took their heads out of their asses (wont happen because they would have to actually work), they could easily solve this escort thing by proper legislation but oh no, we are too religous a country for that. That is wrong the church leaders will say , despite the fact that they did and said fuck all about beatings and sexual abuse commited on children by those under their tuition. Shame ,you will die someday and face whatever is up there and my fuck i wouldnt like to be in your shoes. Hypocrites.
Look if you ever want to make something really popular ,then make it illegal. We have hospital crisis, rising inflation, an overpriced housing market and an economy built on borrowings. Fuckin idiots, playing with fire. IF the ECB decide to raise interest rates at the same time as a recession in this country then we are well and truely fucked.
OH Rhuhama might as well be selling ice creams from the back of their vans. Their intentions are good but the way they are going about it is wrong. People will do what they need to do and proper legislation to protect them is the way to go.

Intrest rates will rise again in june after that they will begin to fall. People say about a property crash and panic stations the only way there will be 1 is if people interfere with it ie politicitans saying will do this and that with the market, people holding back buying. If you want to see what interest rates are doing look at france and germany

23-04-07, 12:52PatriciaIf one was that unfortunate (and bear in mind it would be unfortunate as "brothel raids" are rare) the garda would send you home, but they would probably try to get your details (i.e. name and address) first, maybe even ask you to make a witness statement, even at absolute worst (though never happened in Ireland yet to the best of my knowledge) try to call you as a witness in a case against the brothel management. If you are really concerned about the possibility of this possibly happening to you, maybe sticking to independents would be the best thing as a lady working alone can't be called a brothel.Quote:

Real sad for those people who tried to do their jobs, working girls earn their money to make their clients happy.
