Any recommendations for Paris or Istanbul?

Paris can be the most romantic city in the world!
Istanbul can be exciting exotic, different!

I don't know much about the scene in Istanbul, but Paris is overrated in my opinion

language is a problem in Istanbul - also very long distances , a lot of traffic and the girls are afraid. most European places would be better
