I think the only way to stop the widespread abuse of your site is to make it fee-paying to post only. (but free to view, and the chatroom remains free)
That way, when a person is banned, it will cost them money to come back, so perhaps they will soon get the message.

By doing this, you will also cut down on people defying the ban by using a new nick name

Radical, I know, but I really do think that will sort a lot of stuff out, and in the long run, cut down on the amount of moderating you would have to do, because only respectful people would be posting.

If its good enough for the fee paying escorts, then its good enough for the rest of us.
I would be appalled if I paid a lot of money to advertise here, and just got abuse without good reason.

The fee would have to be high enough to make it count but not so high as to be silly.
You could even make it low, but you have to renew each month

The other alternative is to make it free until you are banned, and THEN you have to pay.

I don't think we would ever consider charging people to use these message boards.

Maybe we could have a charity swear box though?

If we have to pay ,we will just got to the next forum that is free. Sorry rory, its the nature of the beast. I remember a time when the forum here was like a ghost town and iie was the popular one. Thats not that long ago as Patricia will appreciate.

Another thing fee paying escorts are earning a grand a day (conservative estimate). So u want us to pay twice ,once to see the advert and once to to the deal.

And finally as for cutting down on the moderating for Patricia/Sarah, she doesnt do that much of it anyway.Hence this who lizzie thing running for wks now.
