Poor old bobby robson has passed away, what a lose to the football world.bobby was a real football man.true legend:(
sir bobby was one of the games legends.a proper gentleman, he never lost his passion and enthusiasm for football.he was in attendance on sunday at st james park for an england1990xi v germany1990xi with the proceeds going to a cancer charity.other past players like alan shearer and some celebs played too.he was held in high regard and esteem by all who knew him in football because of his sincerty and honesty with all people that he dealt with
yea man he really did live and breath football,he even had time for ireland.some of the stories you year of bobby are pure class,he was an old man when he finally had to quit football,he would costantly get players mixed up or call them by the names of he had dealt with at other clubs
He was a true gentleman who was harshly treated by some sections of the media yet when he could have lashed out at them chose instead to keep his dignity and suffer in silence.
Bobby RIP

bbjQuote:
Nothing quite became Robson as his calm reaction to the way England went out of the 1986 World Cup to Argentina when they lost to Diego Maradona's fiendish handball and quite outrageous prance through the best part of an entire team. When any losing manager could have been forgiven for spitting blood Robson kept his cool although he was to reflect later that "it wasn't the Hand of God, it was the hand of a rascal. God had nothing to do with it".
I can't remeber who originally said or wrote it but here's a bit of info.........
