What are they doing ???

Most nights i notice a new member that has joined , and when i view who's online , most times this new member is creating an album . Tonight i noticed a new member called FDPayperdergy who is creating an album called "Medicating causing diaper rash " . These members are easy to spot as they always have an unusual name . Anybody got an explanation of this ?

There are hundreds of these accounts. Mods and staff have been quietly deleting them, but they are getting created faster than they are being deleted.

The albums never have pictures, just ad text.

But the thing i don't get is that unless you view who's online and click on the album that is being created , you will not know anything about what they are doing as there is no sign of it when you look at the days posts :confused:

Everything from viagra, nappies to US furniture removals companies (who state they only work within US borders) have spammed album section at one time or another. Its only viewable to you when you see them placing it, after that its invisible. Which begs the question, why bother?.

Exactly the point i wanted to make but failed , why bother !

I have a theory about that. I think spammers send people links to the album. A spam filter will reject a message with a viagra ad, but a link to a viagra ad will get through, since the filter doesn't check the link. Just a guess, but otherwise I can't see why they would do it.

Its most probably automated as they are fire and forget once off spammers. A greek guy or greek automated programme is very active as to make it even more pointless its in greek :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
