I found it on daily mail, yes, I know, daily mail..
But on second hand was thinking you have been to many hotels and probably have got some crazy stories to share yourselves...

I stayed in a hotel in Lanzarote once where my room was home to the most varied and numerous collection of insects I have ever seen. I was scared to turn the lights off at night and had to keep my food in tied up plastic bags.
I was also kept up most of the night by the sound of the people in the rooms around me trying to deal with the insect life in their own rooms.
My worse was a posh hotel in Dublin, some dick at reception giving me a wake up call at 4am. Almost shit the bed at the noise of the room phone...
Though that's a pretty tame horror story
I stopped at a place called Oasis Apartments, it was in Kos Island, part of Greece.
The apartments were cheap and ugly.
All the pillows had stains on from other sleeping on them, water was only warm when the sun shined (solar panel). There was a small certain that only covered have of the window, so had to use a bed sheet to cover the other half.
There was writing behind one of the pictures that warned others not to go as it is a rip off place.
In the lamps and walls light, there were also loads of dead incest and cockroaches running around.
The closest beach was 10-15 minutes walk and if you took the wrong turn, you would get lost as the place was in the middle of nowhere.
I was 27 at the time and it was my first time going abroad.
What made it worse was not the place, but that fact my alcoholic girlfriend at the time drank all the time and making a mockery of herself.
That was probably my worst holiday I have had so far.
As long as they respect the 'Do not disturb' sign ...

Not a horror story..but true.
There i was, standing at the end of the bed in a hotel room, Mellors junior already covered and standing to attention. In front of me on the bed, pointing towards the ceiling was probably the most perfect ass ever to be seen in Cork, belonging to now retired Sonya. The morphing of our body parts was just about to begin, when there was a click at the door, both Sonya and I turned our heads in that direction to see the cleaner letting herself in with her key card.
For some reason, both of us said a jaunty "hi " .. you could see the lady blush the brightest red from her neck upwards and she reversed out of the room backwards at the speed of light.
Sonya then turned to me and said.." do you think she saw us "....doh.
The review i left on Trivago was a little diffwrent to the norm !
The only hotel, horror story, I have encountered was the bill.
I once stayed in a small hotel on the road to Toulouse whilst on a Road Trip from Cherbourg to Valencia, the village the Hotel was in was totally abandoned, everything was bordes shut and had grafity on it. Only every third lamp-post, actually worked,
The Maitre'd was a short fat old man who just grunted at you. And the Rooms, gods, you could peel the carpet from he floor, the TV was smashed to bits, there were iron bars both on the inside and outside of a cracked window. The Toilet was blocked to the rim with murky brown stagnant water, the shower had fungus thick all over it, and the bed was stained yellow and bloody, not to mention the fact that the wall the bed was pushed up against had a fucking hole in it.
Needless to say, my friends and I picked up our bags, got back in our jeep, and drove through the night to Toulouse.
