Please note if somebody calls saying they are a Guard, but they are alone, even saying they have a search warrant...do not let them enter. Guards NEVER visit on their own.
Take their number, ring the station and report the incident.
If 2 genuine guards arrive, NEVER sign anything without discussing it with FREE legal representation
NEVER admit to doing something you were not e.g. running a brothel if Independant.
This post is in made in respect of 3 recent episodes in Limerick, Wexford and Sligo.

Sorry, have to disagree. Why just last night the guards visited my neighbour and only one went to the door while the female guard sat in the car (out of sight of the door) on her mobile (this is another thread - guards on the doss!). Admittedly, there were indeed two, but my neighbour only saw one...

Both points are valid and I agree 100%. I am happy to agree completely as well that Guards cannot do much to the gentleman caller, which may be the point of this thread and is a lesson all punters should learn about the system.

Too true, especially for foreign escorts who would be scared stiff with a thump on the door and someone posing as a Gardai. Say nothing, "no english", and get a decent solicitor too. As a solicitor (civil) I'll volunteer for assistance in any police interviews if needed on east coast!!
