i'm to take a young lady to dinner. in my minds eye, i see us in a restaurant with
a view of the city lights, as though there was a restaurant in the Guinness tower.
any ideas or suggestions?

Aqua in Howth has beautiful sea views and is very romantic plus great food!
Thorntons overlooks Stephens Green - if you get a window table - and it's also a Michelin star restaurant.
Rooftop of the Marker hotel is pretty nice, however only bar food.
Funny prices and only average service, right I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to serving whiskey i must admit :D but if the young lady in question never been there i'd say she'd be impressed!
You should check their schedule in advance.
Super Miss Sue /Drury street/ is a cool seafood restaurant, actually one of my favorite at the minute, also l'gueuleton /Fade street/ is an absolutely nice romantic french place.
And a well hidden gem Terra Madre /Bachelors walk/ tiny real italian restaurant only about 10 tables, probably best italian food in Dublin.
London and Kiev are in my schedule too, but she lives in D4.;)
Than you shouldn't miss this place
