BDSM and the law

Although it hasn't been specifically mentioned anywhere that I'm aware of, it's probably fair to assume that even 'no sex' dommes will be classed as sex workers under the pending new laws. Therefore visiting them would be classed as a criminal offence.

Are there any BDSM clubs in Belfast / NI or any other ways of meeting like-minded individuals without direct payment being involved? A quick look at fetlife doesn't suggest there is much of a thriving local scene but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Check out FetLife.com with local groups. You might find however, Belfast is too small to maintain anonymity. Dublin is better for it. However, it's the place where you should start from if you thinking BDSM.

If those working in the Fetish business know the new laws surrounding it, many would not be doing it. Loll But since 2 years ago the law changed due to what happened and now even include Bulques artist as the "sexy industry". The Goverment has it all sewed up to catch you which ever way you turn.loll.

The best clubs are in the London and Germany but there are so many different clubs and other event for all types of fetishes so it would all depend on what your into.

However I do take slaves and subs out on UK fetish event and the next ones I will be at will be in December

No I just don't see how they could using a strict strict definition of the law

Just let's hope that they're not classified on with this new legislation but with these boys in power are you just never know

I just can't fathom how engaging in BDSM could be considered to be in breach of any current or any future laws as it offends nobody and it's purely consensual and involves no sex most of the time

Unfortunately there is a growing feminist-driven movement against BDSM. I've had a few online arguments with people of both sexes who see BDSM as abuse and a perversion and in fairness the 'Fifty Shades' phenomenon really hasn't helped.

That is a good question you ask...here is an answer...as long as there is no sex it is not breaking the law.
