How many alleged trafficked escorts have there been in Ireland? What's the official number? How many of them were asylum seekers who got caught in raids on brothels and when forced with deportation for breaking the law suddenly claimed to be trafficked?

Seems to me that journalists like this one here forget that there are hundreds (thousands?) of independent escorts working in Ireland of their own volition.

Fact is this issue is being politicized, whereas it used to be ignored. The media are publishing stories weekly, and organizations like Ruhama and conservative "feminists" are trying to make prostitution out and out illegal in Ireland using this myth of trafficking as a fuel to add to the fire.

It's no coincidence that Ruhama is singing the praises of this fictional film "Trafficked".
