multiple usernames

can this be stopped? this website in my eyes has really been totally discredited it simply has got stupid rules were made long ago to stop this but nothing has changed I've lost interest in this website due to this its a pity coz this is far superior to other similar type forums...

Yeah, all the multiples are getting confusing. No way of knowing who might be who!

Multipleusernames arent so much the problem as are the intentions of those creating them.If someone creates a multiple username for a laugh then no harm done as if you were to remove every aspect of the site then there wouldnt be much left.

If someone creates a multiple username in order to conceal their identity to pursue an agenda then yes there would be a problem there.

The way i see it is like this.Those that create multiple usernames and who do so with an agenda in mind are breaking the rules anyway ,multiple username or otherwise.

The rules are there for the poster not the username.

its like what i said about the reviews before.Call me self opinionated or whatever you like but as obvious as it is ,its not so much the reviews as those who post them.The same goes with abuse,usernames etc.the prob is the ppl and how they use them.

The only way to solve this is punishment by banning.Again this seems straight forward enough but it isnt due to the differences in the viewpoints of differing ppl ,mods included.

The biggest prob i have seen with sites is that there is too great a variation in the application of the site rules due to no fault of anyones.For starters nobody wants to see a person banned or to have a harsh ruling where ppl cant have a laugh but the line needs to be agreed upon and drawn.

Another prob is every site has rules in small print on the registering page but nobody reads them and nobody cares.If i have seen,heard nor would i believe someone is registering on a site,reads down through all the small print and says "nope i dont agree with this so im not going to join".Where am i heading with this statement?Simple.While we all may not know all the site rules ,we do know the difference between having a laugh and sheer downright vindictiveness and nastiness.The first will keep ppl posting and more will join.The second will drive ppl away.

The way i see things is we all have a pm box.If ppl really want to act the bollox then do it there and let others post in peace.

Again i really think that the mods and admin team should straighten out amongst themselves ,whats tolerable or not and then apply that 100%.Otherwise we will always have inconsistency and that will always (whether it is or not) look like taking sides.

Comedy soap opera characters, if they restrict themselves to the comedy routine have been accepted since they took up residency in soap opera. Other members, who seem to like a change of scenery or name and then reinvent themselves, but dont hide their original identity in the process, also seem to be unproblematic.

The problem is only those members who re-register ad infinitum in order to bully, abuse, troll, threaten and generally break the rules, and in some cases only do so in order to annoy or waste the time of staff and mods. Given that most members never post a thing and the vast majority who do post never cause any problems, it's obvious that it's only a handful of people with a lot of time on their hands, nothing better to do, and probably possessing the type of personalities that would attract them to conflict in any social situation, who are the problem.

Their behaviour here is simply an indication that they lack the social skills for normal social discourse and probably relationships also. I dont think it's particular to E-I or sites of this nature. If you look at the comments which follow some of the videos on Youtube, you'll see a lot worse insulting language and rascist/xenophobic abuse than here.

Your right about the youtube thing carlos i can never get why there all threatining to murder each other on it when in all fairness they're never even likely to meet but it makes for intresting reading at times some people are just hard when you cant get them it makes up for there own short comeings in life i think.
Multable accounts isnt realy a prob i can usualy tell whos who either way with the exception of 1 or 2 but the ones set up for malicious purposes seem to always be the same 1 or 2 individuals who actualy think we care what there on about..

As you say those who re-register in order to bully, abuse and generally antagonize are the ones lacking, I must confess I have a couple of user names, mainly for sexual preferences (won't go into that now though) this site is all about the escort trade, a wonderful trade, it's not about causing aggro, but the human mix is very complicated, it's takes all sorts and I suppose a little variety can be the spice of life, it's just sad as you've already said the ones with a lot of time on their hands could possibly be attracted to causing unpleasant conflict. If u want to change ure name for some genuine or specific
reason then ure previous user name should be cancelled and
deleted
Remember that we arent too happy when an escort has more
than one profile, that includes guys with multiple usernames.

Totally agree with you on that one Ber, only reason a person may need a second username is if they forgot the first one!! Why people feel the need for a comedy profile is beyond me!!

As Anon didn't like Ber hijacking his current thread I have decided to hijack the older thread about multiple user names.

I have too much going on in my head to be worrying about members having multiple profiles and trying to figure out who is who. I already spend too much time on here with one profile, I don't need anymore, but each to their own.
But I agree with Ber that it is unfair that members that are known to have multiple profiles, are allowed to do reviews of the same escort under different profiles. I have reviewed a couple of ladies twice but the original review is replaced by the later one, and I have no problem with that because that's the rule. I could set up a 'comedy' profile under the current rules and write reviews for theses ladies when I see them again and it adds to their review total, but I don't think that is fair.

Myself and Samlad and the mods will be looking at reviewing some of the rules, and the issue of usernames is one of those we are looking at.

Maybe a table should be made up of every user and their alter-egos...they are asked which 1 profile they want to keep and the rest are permantly deleted and if they start another profile they will be banned...it would stop ppl starting new profiles as they would loose their orinigal profile as well.
