There's a difference between "The feuding Limerick gangsters are offering their services to prostitutes who want protection from local pimps." (which is just security) and the usual meaning of the words "protection money". A protection racket is usually about "If you pay us, we won't hit/rob you".
The girl that did the interview isn't the best spokesperson as she said that the couple she worked for were "ruthless people" and then she called the guy a "nice guy".
I think it's more like about half, that's the usual thing isn't it? And that could be mostly for accommodation, security etc.Quote:
