I can see 2 notifications indicated when I log in, but there's only 1 inbox message. I checked to see if there's any new conversations, but there's none that I can see.... Anyone any ideas what I'm being notified about?

I've also had some strange notifications recently. They've stopped now but it was something to the effect of 'notification on your reputation'. I thought I'd hit some sort of bonus points round and had won something but there was no offers of freebies in my inbox :D

Logged on with my laptop & I could see 1 new friend request after a bit of digging (not visible on mobile). I still have 1 notification message, but no clue what it's for??

I noticed that after you have acknowledged/viewed a notification it still remains for some time not going away until you restart your browser or even sometimes not until you restart your computer.

I have noticed, in my case anyway, if a notification occurs it is always genuine but it can difficult to know what it is because it can be a new friendship request, message, etc. and needs a bit of exploring to find.
And it persists when it shouldn’t after the message etc. has been read or even replied to.
