I guess it's a case of better to know than not. It's still very new so there maybe symptoms they are not aware of yet, but it's always best to get checked out regularly and hopefully they will find a way to check for this asap, so we can at least know if we have it.

There are a few, but you can't get tested for an unknown STI so the relevance here is that many people maybe carrying it, even if regularly tested and we wouldn't know. Not so bad for people who are no longer trying for a family, but it could be devastating for anyone who is yet to have children and wants them.

At least now they know about the STI they can hopefully come up with a test so we can know if we have it or not and hopefully deal with it, as we can with the others.
