The registration is nothing new. There is little or no stigma attached to being registered as a sex worker, depending on your family but I suppose, like in most western countries, the natives are far less than the other nationalities working in this field. It's not at all a bad thing being in the system, it's just like any other job: pay tax, contribute to pension schemes, being able to prove you're legit etc.

In fact, the mentality is quite open minded. Sometimes too open minded, as the dole office even suggests it to unemplyed women :D

If they did that over here the women would beat the head of them.

Can you imagine them saying that to some wee mill bag from turf lodge or sandy row down the local brew office.

My great uncle was cash in hand builder while on the brew for most of his working life and no amount of anonymous tips or even him in his fuckin van with his phone number up the side got it stopped.

Common it Ireland and it,s the authorities fault
The amount of people covered in paint collecting dole is unreal
And other,s driving 60 k jeeps.
One single guy had worked for over 30 years, was made redundant as was on the dole for a while living comfortable but got serious grief by them and basically forced off and back into work , yet others who never worked a day in their life,s are hassle free.

The person in the dole office reported what was happening and he was told to mind his own business
It was still going on 6 months later.
