I think It's only a matter of time before I bump into a garda watching a premises and I'll be fucked.
Any suggestion on what to do or say?
Do you delete your call history / web history before seeing an escort? (on ur phone)

The phone you use should be a burner anyway, so it's not registered in your name.
If you do use a personal phone txt messages and call logs can be gotten from your carrier by the gards, so be aware of the content of your messages.
If caught, deny, deny, deny. Have a cover story and stick with it. They need evidence that you paid for sex, which is hard to do with two consenting adults in a private residence. If they don't have that they are just going to try talk you in circles, scare you with a charge and try get you to confess.
The gards do not care about you, arresting you for is more work for them, they want big fish (pimps, trafficers) and to shut down brothels (2 or more people on premises where sex is on offer for money). If you are arrested it probably because they want to send a message or scare others from being in the area for this kind of behavior.
What to say or do? We shouldn't have this discussion in here. Garda prostitution department might read this.
Well, Sweden is the 1st country to have this ridiculous law and as a person who living and working in Sweden, i have my own way :)
Do they have a prostitution department ? sorry honey joking know what you mean!! Garda have a lot more to do and if you are stopped and they are staking out place it is more than sex being sold there, too much resources to watch single apartment for what to catch someone like you who will not even go to court. As regards phone, burner can be traced if they really have too same as bill phone a little harder and unless you commit serious crime they would not bother.
If you are stopped just say you were visiting but dont be balshy same as any other time you get stopped
Sensible post, NoRollToll13, but please could you tell me what a "burner" is in mobile phone-speak?
Sorry to be imbecilic, just not from Ireland
"how did you get in here! "Quote:
what to say or do if caught by the garda?
"I was hiding under the bed :cop: "
" oh adult-spank "
"come here then its your go adult-anal "
Have it from good authority that the main emphasis is going to be raids on well known brothels. Too much work and resources required to deal with independents. Also constitutional issues about phone surveillance for minor criminal activity plus would be difficult to prove that sex had taken place in most situations. This is not the case for a raid on a brothel which currently take place anyway the big difference of course is that your ass will end up in the dock alongside the working girls. One point worth noting is that in reality very few girls operate outside of a technical brothel under current Irish legislation. I was quite surprised recently to discover a well known classy escort who I always assumed operated solo from an upmarket apartment was actually sharing with another well known classy escort. This of course constitutes a brothel and as such could in law at least be raided under old and proposed new legislation. Whatever way you look at it this is very bad news but as I have said previously there is a good chance the law will be made redundant or be watered down as a result of legal challenge. In the meantime enjoy your last few legal rides!!!
When is this law coming in?
It is going through the Seanad at present. I don't think it has been debated in Dail yet?. With Christmas break coming up and a possible election in early Feb it may not be passed until after new govt is formed. To guess I would say April/May. The bad news is that this reprehensible piece of legislation is coming down the tracks regardless of who is in power as sadly it seems to have wide cross party support. As stated previously the courts are the only hope of preventing or circumventing this nonsense.
I don't give a fuck about the new law tbh. I'm horny all the time and single so I have needs fuck the guards.
Has two stages to pass so possible it might not become law before election though i've no doubt Fitzgerald is keen to have it done and dusted on her watch. Best chance of its exclusion would probably be FG re-elected with Leo v 9who is against the law) or possibly Simon Coveney to get Min of J. Ultimately , the law is coming though the challenge in the courts is a certainty . I believe the commencement of the NI Challenge is in Belfast High Court in Feb 2016 .
Don't know much about the law but would be seriously surprised if the law was upheld in court - state simply doesn't have the right to compromise the sexual consent of voluntary adults.
My prediction - the law introduced within 3/4 months . Almost all focus on well-known brothels . NI law to be repealed within 15 months(hopefully David Ford still NI MoJ as he is keen to overturn) . RoI law repealed within 24 months though whether RoI MoJ will be as enthusiastic?
If the constitutional challenge failed then the touted route would be European Court of Human Rights . Will be interesting to follow the legal shenanignas .
Definitely,if the law is deemed constitutional ,then no RoI MoJ will repeal. A two year review of the imminent law is being suggested ,but given the way most politicians have been utterly doe-eyed to TORL , zero chance that the review would be any way independent.
The entire debate over the last few years gives a good idea how difficult life must have been for the likes of single mothers or out-of-wedlock kids in the past with the overwhelming power of the Church and deferential politicians. Nowadays, through social media and a more liberal press, various sides can be heard though media manipulation is often part of the course.
Back 50 years ago, those single mothers had absolutely nothing or nobody to help their case . Amazing women whose voice was deliberately silenced through shame.
If you ask me, Milky, not a lot has changed in the last fifty years. This whole process has been a joke from before the start to the finish.
In fairness, the process here and in the North were fait d'accompli from the start with most politicians happy to jump aboard the bandwagon beat their chest whilst simultaneously turning a blind eye to the negative consequences of the law and indeed Sweden's own major trafficking problems.
Here in Ireland, the courts were probably the only way for women in prostitution to get legal rights - was never going to come via self serving politicians -only for Shatter's utter disdain for the Justice Committee whitewash , the law would have been introduced a lot sooner
