Ruhama is a load of bollox.
Ruhama is an organisation run by mainly a group of nuns (look it up on the web) and they have an agenda to exaggerate the problem in Ireland.
Why because they are in receipt of Government funds for their work and if they say the problem is small etc the funding would be cut. Even nuns like to work in an "Important" organisation, meet important people and travel on junkets to international meetings about prostitution.
For Example they said today in the media that "Street prostitution is on the increase"
Firstly I work near baggot Street and to go home I have to go through the Abour Hill area both of these are our "red Light" districts in Dublin and I can safely say that there has been FUCK ALL increase in dirls on the game. In fact compared to 10 - 15 years ago there is comparatevely fuck all street girls.
Also I personally have not seen any under age girls plying their trade.
There is statstics, statstics and damm lies.
Anyway I would'nt trust any nuns anyway as they participated in the wholesale abuse including sexual of our children in former decades.
So would it be fair to say...........
Your figure of 50% is an estimate or a guess on your part and not a known fact???
As for trafficing, there are many definitions but The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, defines human trafficking as the "recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation."
I'd take it as meaning something bad............
There's a difference between recruitment........

Hence the ??? at the end.........
But since you brought it up..........
Your figures are based on the escorts you know, not on all the escorts in the country, and unless you're spoken to, and asked every escort in the country then your figure of 50% is and estimate based on the information you're received from the escorts you know............
It could be much higher than 50%, it could be much lower than 50%................
Either way, your figures are an estimate based in a limited amount of information.............
Get it???
I know what you mean......
