Where does a punter stand if he goes to visit (1.) an independent escort and unknowingly ends up in (2.) a brothel with possibly trafficed girls?

Scenario 1 is completely different to scenario 2 as you can imagine, and there is no fine line to be considered either, they are two completely different situations.

1 could result in a bit of fun with a girl offering time and companionship, where as the other could possibly result in doing time.

Would claiming the girl falsely posed as an escort (independent) do anything to help your defence?

If u booked an independent and this is what u find do as i would do turn on your heels and out the door if u only spend a couple of minutes there i dont think u can get in much bother

If the premises were under observation it would be known u were only there for a short time and at least u would have the defence thet once u realised the type of establishment
that it was u left i think in fairness this would definitely be a mitigating factor because the target by police in theese operations would be 1 the traffickers
2 regular clients with knowledge of what

A sting like this would involve alot of survelliance so i think it would be easy enough to prove u had no knowledge or assocation with what was happening so i would say a warning
or a slap on the wrist would be the worst outcome
