Ever seen noticible streetside monitoring of escorts' doorways when paying a visit?

The other day I was on the way to meet a lady at her place. I had phoned from around the corner so had gotten the address so I knew which door it was. As I was about to approach from across the road I was coming up to a man standing still on the footpath behind some parked cars who was looking directly at the door I was supposed to head to. I didn't like the look of it so I walked further on and ducked into a doorway from where I could clearly see him continue to watch the door. He stay this way for the minute or two until I decided wouldn't chance it. Texted the lady to say wouldn't make it as I thought her place was being observed. Went off for some food and decided to come back by the same street over half hour later. Same man was now sitting in the car he had been standing in front of and was still looking towards her doorway and had small folded up piece of paper than he was writing on. I am well able to spot what an undercover guard looks like and there is no chance this fecker was one. Any ideas on what's the story or has anyone else came across such a thing. Only thing I could figure was it was either some indo or tabloid hack or some do-gooder from one of the rescue industry NGO's. Talked to the lady in question after and from what she observed of him from her window after I had texted, she agreed wasn't a guard and wasn't bothered about who it might have been all the same.

Thanks for response Meath Chap, but I would be flabbergasted if the fellow I saw was either a pimp or security. He was definitely Irish (girls were Eastern European) and looked like a pencil necked civil servant or something like that.

Could have also been the estate agent for the landlord of the property. Maybe too much going on there so some one grassed her up and before he could go flying in there needed proof.

So very different in the UK for girls working, no bother. But here far too many control freaks pretending to be do-gooders.

Surely not an undercover officer anyway because they would not waste such a limited resource on such a mundane duty and nor would they expose one to public view.

Almost certainly a plain-clothes officer and they would give that job to the most junior member of the local team. Such a person would be pretty well just a civil servant which is what you judged his appearance to be.

I had a similar encounter years ago that Im sure were two undercover Garda's, which was a strange story but no doubt about it they were either in "Vice"/Covert training as as Dumb as a bag of hammers, I did the same & rang the girl back with what antics I observed ... :)

And in Uk is this problem ... not really people dont bother .. when estate agency knew i,m an escort had problems with a nosy neighbor who went to the estate agency and told them that 'lady at the ground floor is a prostitut' and they called me to tell me that a neighborg realised i,m an escort and they dont bother about as they know but just to be careful to not have problems with him. :)) then in other place my landlord knew but had problem with a pakistani neighbor who use to stop clients on the entrance in building and 'ASK THEM MONEY IF THEY WANT TO ENTER IN BUILDING ! :lmao: now is funny but was not at that moment , i had a fight with him acussing him he harass my clients as i,m masseuse and i will call police if he continue to affect my bussines lol but i moved in the end as after i told to the landlord what happened the guy stoped my landlord asking him if is my pimp so troubles again. and basically in many places in London i lived i had pbs with neighbors even i was alone so not traffic on my door and i ws very discreet until i found a good apartment where neighbors knew but didnt bother as they were young and party all the time lol.... no so easy and there

Paranoia is an seems to be an Irish thing we need to get over it personally tend to not give a shit what anyone else thinks in relation to what I'm doing, my business is going own and so is yours if your acting suspiciously these people can read you the confidence your nothing wrong.

It's a guilt thing I reckon. Most punters are in relationships so hence the sense of guilt, and hence the increased paranoia. The way I look at it is look confident, walk assured to the door and in you go. After all most apartment blocks have 200 + units, so how the hell does anyone know where you're going.........

To Ford Perfect, no not in Dublin, Cork. I don't have much problems with paranoia, just this is not Dublin so many people know one another, so would normally have an eye out to bump into someone I know going into a strange house. In this instance was just wondering at whoever this dickhead was if he wasn't a guard and wanted to make sure the ladies didn't get into to trouble.
