Is there any way on this Earth that David Haye can beat the Beast from the East tonight?
lets not forget that Haye is the former undisputed cruiser weight champion, so he does have a decent pedigree.. having said that, he is 7 stone lighter than Valuev... its a bit like frank bruno and barry mcguigan having a scrap (though i reckon mcguigan would do "glass jaw" bruno)..
still, Haye has put on a decent amount of weight for this fight, and its all solid muscle, he isnt carrying any weight he doesnt need, and he has the added advantage of speed, and a good right hand.. no telling what will happen if valuev clunks him on the chin though..
should be an interesting fight... if i HAD to choose a winner, i would go for Haye in the latter stages of the fight,as he should be a good bit fitter than Valuev..
boxing is gay;)
ah its not really..I went to see Lennox Lewis V Evander Holyfield in Madison sq Garden a few years back, and the atmosphere was electric..
Still, wouldnt it be funny if...............
in the first round, Haye legged it around the ring with Valuev chasing him, then Haye turns around, and pulls out a samurai sword and cuts his opponent to pieces.. but isnt disqualified and wins the fight.. that would be entertaining TV... and Don King would be a happy chappy!!! BOOYAH!!
deedin he would.!!! to be sure, some of the shit that spouts of Don Kings mouth would seem positively normal on here.. i think there should be some form of invitation sent to him to join the forum.. then he could recall all of the "high class" hookers he has been with, whilst having himself electrocuted so as to keep his zany (if somewhat shit) hairstyle
Haye will be champion , he's by far the better boxer . It's not the size of the dog in the fight , it's the size of the fight in the dog that matters .
yeah i think he will do it .. but.............. his chin isnt exactly made of granite.. he has been down a few times, and he keeps his left hand low.. all it takes is one shovel like fist into his boat race, and it could be goodnight david.
i was reading in boxing news that Haye has been training like a bastard in the smallest ring he could find for this fight.. ill bet if he wins this fight he will treat himself to a lovely long deepthroat blowjob.. and who could blame him ???
Haye is shorter, lighter, and speedier, so his gameplan has got to be to win on points. In, out, run around before the slower lumbering giant catches up with him. But in order to score hits to the body or head, he'll have to close within Valuev's reach, and no amount of bobbing and weaving will keep him safe forever. Valuev's hands are like hammers, his legs are like tree trunks and his body is hewed out of granite. He's never been knocked down and his only defeat has been a points loss. He's not going to tire until late into the fight - until then, he'll dominate the centre of the ring, look to trap Haye in a corner and land a haymaker, and generally use his reach to keep the shorter man away from him.
Okay, I'll call it Valuev by knockout by round 5. Haye is a brave man, but moving up from cruiserweight to take on a bloke who's several stone heavier and several inches taller looks like pure folly to me.
My prediction for the fight? Pain. ;)

Haye wins it !
bloody hell you were quick..
Haye wins on points. That's absolutely incredible - David beats Goliath once again :)
yes indeed... as predicted by yours truly!!! too quick for valuev, and he was carrying a broken right hand for 10 rounds!!!
well done to Haye though boxing has become little more than a joke didn't see it myself but I'm told as a fight it was the worst heavyweight fight ever...
If you were a cynic, you might say that it wasn't a fight, more one man running away from the other. But Haye's tactics were completely within the rules and he executed his gameplan pretty much perfectly...
