Premiership fixtures for season 2023/2024 released
Burnley v Man city will be the opening game of next season. Arsenal v Forest, bournemouth v west ham, brighton v luton. A few tasty looking fixtures are chelsea v liverpool, brentford v spurs and newcastle v villa. Utd are at home to wolves.
Everton v Fulham and sheffield utd v palace are the other two fixtures.
Newcastle seem to have a tough first 5 fixtures, home to villa, away to city, home to liverpool, away to brighton and home to brentford.
Conspiracy?
Gabriel Jesus to miss the start of the new season with a knee injury. The start of the season is just over a week away now.
That’s a bit of a blow that Arsenal could have done without butnthey are a team that can get goals from all over the pitch

Only a few days to go until the start of the new season. So whose going to win it this time? Its nigh on impossible to look beyond city again. But with gundogan and mahrez gone does it give other teams more hope of catching city? Who will be their main challengers? As always plenty of questions to be asked and answered at the start of the season. So i'll start with the first two, who will be the top 4 and the bottom 3.
Will any of the 3 teams that got promoted stay up? Burnley must have the best chance , its very hard to see luton surviving. And how will the usual suspects for relegation do, will everton be fighting to stay up again this time like the last two seasons?
Top four - city and then Utd, arsenal and Liverpool in no particular order.
Relegated -;Luton, Sheffield utd and West Ham
How will arsenal do this time, will they get more than the 84pts of last season? There was no expectation of a title challenge at the start last season where as this time there's big expectation, especially with the new signings. Can they live up to expectation?
How will ETH do in his 2nd season in charge? A new goalie and a new striker signed recently, will they land another trophy and a top 4 finish. Or like alot of the top teams will they get closer to city this time.
So this be the new Premier League thread. Nice one Privet :bigok:....
I'll go -
1) City
2) United
3) Arsenal
4) Newcastle/Liverpool (not sure of Liverpool's transfer window?)
West Ham definitely won't be relegated lol!
I expect United to get closer. A decent transfer window and after the Moroccan lad I mentioned also...midfielder from Serie A (a bid imminent).
The new goalkeeper Onana is a great shot stopper, but he will have to tighten up positional play. During pre-season he was badly chipped by Bellingham and also lobbed from near the halfway line!
As of today yes ketchup I think it is more probable than possible.
Obviously, transfer window may change that if they make significant signing or the other thing which might change matters is Moyes leaving.
A poor season last season, lost 20 premier league games, poor second have of previous season show a sustained decline. Top scorer last season had six premiership goals, rice sold equals o reason to be optimist this year
Yeah, I would not be surprised if Utd get second, especially if this forward they bought can rack up the goals. Arsenal having champions league might hold them Bach a bit. Would think Liverpool will bounce back this year and have a better squad than Newcastle who will also have champions league to deal with.
Think city’s big advantage is haalands goals if he keeps them up but who knows
Some born winners in the managers seats also
Serie A (a bid imminent).

Overall i dont think they'll be much between arsenal, utd, liverpool and newcastle. They'll probably need at least 90pts to topple city. Are any of the 4 of them capable of doing that? Its doubtful. As for chelsea, its impossible to fathom out how they will do, with all their comings and goings they basically have a new team with a new manager.
Is lopetgui about to leave wolves before the season starts at all.
Who will be the first manager to be sacked when the season does start? They'll hardly be as many sacked as last season.
He gave an interview with Guillem Balaque recently & he said he was frustrated with the way the transfers we’re going, he said something like we had some players we wanted to bring in who were our plan A but couldn’t get them & then tried to get some players who were our plan B but couldn’t get them either.
The chairman recently said they are trying to stay within the premier leagues rules on profitability & sustainability.
Gary o Neill likely to be confirmed tomorrow as Wolves manager.
Interviews were conducted last week.
I'll go for luton, sheffield utd and bournemouth to be the botton 3. Probably everton, wolves and forest wont be far away either.
Believe it or not ketchup I am not the only one upset with Moyes counter attack, low block style of play. The fans are ready to turn, four of his five main coaching team left this summer, not replaced, word from the dressing room is players are very unhappy with the negative type of game they are required to play.
First six games are Bournemouth Chelsea Brighton Luton Man City and Liverpool. Conceivably three points or less after them and possibly bottom of the table. Tick tok tick tok
