no problem..but my post was a joke

If you had bothered to stop and think about it, you would know that it is absolute nonsense to state there is no link between sexual violence and hardcore pornography, and between violence and games.
Some of the links are circumstantial, and not proven, but that is separate from saying there are no links. But some of the evidence is quite compelling
There is no link between sexual violence and hardcore pornography. Otherwise you can say there's a link between liking The Simpsons and being an axe murderer. No, saying there's a link between things implies that it's not all just a coincidence.
But there isn't even a correlation between violence and playing videogames.... people who regularly play violent videogames are LESS violent that people who don't. It has to do with socioeconomic circumstances. So it's hardly "absolute nonsense" when it's the exact opposite to what you're saying.
I have only once made an appointment and failed to turn up (for genuine reasons) and on that occasion I did text the escort to apologise.
If this sort of thing is on the increase, then I fail to see clients watching porn as a reason for it’s increase. I mean people have always watched porn, no more so now than in the past so I can’t see why this should suddenly be a reason for an increase in time wasting appointments.
My own feeling is that it is due to the economic times that we now live in – in the good times there were more clients around for the escorts but now there are fewer and it’s all become more competitive. Therefore, as has already been suggested, there are probably more pimps or friends of escorts deliberately making bogus appointments to try and ruin the business of another escort.
Unfortunate I know ladies but cest la vie.
I got to the stage that I don't even mind if some people don't show up for the appointments.
I have to resort to this attitude, for my own sanity.
But what I still mind is more complicated situations such as:
- Guy (EI registered user not participating actively on the forums) makes an appointment 2 - 3 days in advance for a massage section back in August.
- Even he booked so early in advance he canceled by text only a few minutes before the appointment time, so of course I couldn't fit anybody in. I denied the client before a longer appointment, on the basis that I have another appointment in an hour or so (I need time of course in between the apps).
- The cancellation message is saying something that he is in a meeting. I didn't like that because he said he was in a day off previously. If he got called back to work, surely he knew before early afternoon. But seeing that he took the time to canceled, I texted back that it's all fine.
- He requested another appointment in 2 days time. Even if I had my doubts, I agreed.
- The second time, he simply didn't show up. No text, no calls, no nothing.
I might have been very naive to get into situations like this. And trust me, I had so many situations like this before :o
I don't think it is fair when this is MY JOB and I don't pull people by their sleeves to come and see me
The guy made me loose 2 appointment + another half an hour denied to another client.
This, in a time when I had to resort to borrowing money from a friend because I needed to pay for something.
From now on, I'll keep it very simple.
Client not showing up? No more appointments.
Client canceling late even he booked in advance? No more appointments.
If someone had indeed a very genuine reason not to show up and not to cancel, I am pretty sure he'll have the decency to explain it to me, even later.
A Lot of Shit has been posted here about Porn being the cause of Timewasting etc.Total BULLSHIT.100% of men and many women watch and love Porn. For those women that dont like it,you should respect that some people do,and this is very normal. It does not mean you are going to book an Escort and demand you Cum in her Ass,or book one and not turn up cause you just tossed your load. Many people watch very violent films.Ive yet to read about about a blood bath outside Storm Cimema.
As in my seperate post I do not agree with Porn being blamed for Timewasting or other bad stuff in our Country......IRISHMEN do not feel guilty. You are not abnormal watching Porn, and it will not turn you in to a bad man.....now if you cant go to a good Swing Club Tonight here is a little Film to watch!....ENJOY!!! and Long Live free Porn in Ireland! Swinger party 1, Free Streaming Porn
u cant put it down to one specific reason its a combination of reasons maybe if we just go back to basics to long held belief(not my belief) by some men that women working as prostitutes are an inferior being that such women are sex objects 'thats all they're good for' therefore they are seen as a target deserve no better & only deserved to be dehumanized & disrespected maybe maybe this pent up aggression & belief by some men is a reason why so many men ring escorts without ever having an intention of meeting them....
I think everyone has gone a bit mad. Is this cod physcology or what? Timewasters are timewasters because -
A) They have booked three escorts and they picked the best one in the best area..
B)They made the appointment and then something came up..
C)They got a strange sexual arousal out of making the appointment and imagining the girl sat there in her sussies while they ho ho ho didn't show...
D)They are a rival agency/pimp/weirdo, brought about by the easy access of t'internet
Jeezums. Whats with the propoganda?
Another escort, I am not sure if I am allowed to name her here had another category as being the most guilty of the no-shows: actual clients who cannot afford anymore to punt ! A bit like a zombie motion, doing things out of reflex :o
For me, whatever it is, it comes down to lack of respect.
Whatever the reason, if a client cares about the escort as a person, he would never just not show, he would have at least the courtesy to cancel if something comes up.
You should come to America; the Tea Party people would just love you, and the neoconservatives:p

Psychological Effects
Defenders of pornography argue that it is not harmful and thus should not be regulated or banned. And in 1970, the Presidential Commission on Obscenity and Pornography concluded there was no relationship between exposure to erotic material and subsequent behavior. But more than a decade of research, as well as the production of more explicit and violent forms of pornography than were available in 1970, has shown the profound effects pornography can have on human behavior.
The 1986 Final Report of the Attorney General's Commission on Pornography examined five different classes of material: (1) sexually violent material; (2) nonviolent materials depicting degradation, domination, subordination, or humiliation; (3) non-violent and non-degrading materials; (4) nudity; and (5) child pornography. The first two categories demonstrated negative effects on behavior, the third showed mixed results, the fourth was not found harmful but the commissioners agreed it was morally objectionable, and the fifth involved sexual exploitation and was already outlawed.
Let us briefly look at the psychological effects of pornography. Psychologist Edward Donnerstein (University of Wisconsin) found that brief exposure to violent forms of pornography can lead to anti-social attitudes and behavior. Male viewers tend to be more aggressive toward women, less responsive to the pain and suffering of rape victims, and more willing to accept various myths about rape.
Dr. Dolf Zillman and Dr. Jennings Bryant showed that continued exposure to pornography had serious adverse effects on beliefs about sexuality in general and on attitudes toward women in particular. They also found that pornography desensitizes people to rape as a criminal offense and that massive exposure to pornography encourages a desire for increasingly deviant materials that depict violence (such as sadomasochism and rape).
Feminist author Diana Russell notes in her book Rape and Marriage the correlation between deviant behavior (including abuse) and pornography. She also found that pornography leads men and women to experience conflict, suffering, and sexual dissatisfaction.
Statistical studies by sociologists Murray Straus and Larry Baron (University of New Hampshire) found that rape rates are highest in states that have high sales of sex magazines and lax enforcement of pornography laws.
Michigan state police detective Darrell Pope found that in 41 percent of the 38,000 sexual assault cases in Michigan between 1956 and 1979, pornographic material was viewed just prior to or during the crime. This finding corroborates research done by psychotherapist David Scott, who found that "half the rapists studied used pornography to arouse themselves immediately prior to seeking out a victim."
Pornography
According to the very first paragraph on that site you quote:
And therefore anything you point to as fact from this website, in my eyes, is void. Just another fundamentalist christian author in my eyes wanting to prove a point. Ah well.Quote:
Pornography is tearing apart the very fabric of our society. Yet Christians are often ignorant of its impact and apathetic about the need to control this menace.
Anita first off I am so glad you are back here posting, havent seen to much of you lately
Seecondly I am comming at this from a neutral perspective.
You have quoted psychological research I have given you teh findings of a lt too just not cited and basicaly saying the same thing being although their maybe a link to porn and sexual violence towards women one does not cause the other
I never thought I'd see the day when an escort here would be preaching to us about the evils of viewing pornography.
When you think about it logically, it makes perfect sense:
1. Escorts would rather you went to them and gave them money to jack you off (a crude but lovely expression) rather than you doing it for free in the comfort of your own bedroom/livingroom/garden shed or over somebody's knickers you have stolen in the case of Ex P while watching some nubile young things performing sexual gymnastics on your laptop.
2. If having watched the sexual gymnastics things on the laptop, you still decide to go for the bespoke rather than the self-service option, you may be harbouring hightened or unrealistic expectations and expect all sorts of depraved and lewd activities to be engaged in by a real and normal woman.
I knew there was a third reason and it's a good medical one to:
3. The Christian Brothers said it can make you go blind, particularly if you practice your handicraft while watching. In the event of this happening, you will end up going around wearing dark glass.........even indoors and on overcast days. (There's another thread on this topic doing the rounds at the moment).
:D:D:D
Studies on the links generally make a differentiation between harmful and non-harmful porn, where harmful porn depicts aggressive or degrading behaviour towards women (simulated rape, etc.).
To differentiate between the two, some refer to non-harmful porn (basically that where the sexes appear as equals) as erotica to distinquish it from porn. Like most people here, I assume, I do enjoy erotica, but not porn, but it does strike me that not everyone is making this distinction.
In this context there is nothing surprising about an escort, or anyone else for that matter, condemning porn, as opposed to erotica
oh god........
They do NOT because first of all, the vast majority of people agree that there is no such thing as "harmful porn". No study would EVER start out like that if that's what they were trying to find. It'd be like a study on alcohol's effects on the health starting out by "differentiating" the "harmful" alcohol (spirits, vodka, whiskey), from the non-harmful alcohol (red wine, beer). It'd be a stupid and nonsensical label to put on them.
Why are you starting out labelling it as "harmful"? How do you know it's harmful? That's a pretty lame starting point when that's the very thing you're supposed to find out.
No they do not, no, no, no. BULLSHIT. Everyone calls porn porn, who calls it "erotica"? Basically nobody. And I can safely say nobody in the entire world apart from you ever uses it to distinguish it from "harmful porn".
You just made that up.
In your head.
Haaaaaaaahahahaha....
So what is your native tongue...?
Oh yes there is. I have never in my entire life heard an escort condemning porn apart from claiming it makes punters want to do what they see in the porn.
Erotica is soft porn. Scotus is correct in his summation- and cut the escort crap. Women have opinions, full stop. Being an escort doesn't really make a difference.
Nope, I am thinking more or less the same.
Maybe I didn't call it "erotica" but I certainly made a distinction.
The young guys are more at risk when watching violent penetrations, rape plays etc ... because they will think this is the norm. They can grow up as angry and frustrated young men. Of course, their particular type of upbringing will also play a big part but technically they are at risk of seeing those violent stuff as the norm, rather then just fantasies.
The sort of porn where it show people nicely indulging in sexual activities, kissing and caressing might give those young guys an inside of how to perform well when having sex.
It is impossible thought to control what kind of porn the people are watching. Keep in mind as well that some of those movie watchers might be in fact so nice and so happy in their normal life, they would reject all by themselves anything that involves too much violence, demeaning treating of women etc ...
I think the discussion is a little futile in this case. Porn is like a strong medicine. It will cure some, it could cause serious side effects for others as the doze and the quality of this "medicine" greatly differs from one guy to another.
Dont think its "Crap" Lucy..."escorting" is a form of PORN...so the Guys that think it strange that escorts should be blaming porn for problems in the world have a point. This site is regulated but go on to AW and "escorts" sell the filthiest Porn on the net.If a Chef was telling you the evils of food you'd wonder why hes not looking for a job as a postman!
Indeed. But in this case I don't believe that porn has any bearing on the situations with timewasters.
I know Siobhan, I was just composing a reply to your thread. Bear with me, I am making rather less sense than usual. For the record though, I couldn't care less about porn, if people like it cool. I don't like the idea of snuff movies, that is about it.
People should start watching the porn bloopers and out takes. It really humanises everything
Siobhan, I think the main reason Lucy and Sensual Delights are arguing this ridiculous position is more because they don't really like me and want me to be wrong and stand up for their "sister" AnitaSizzle no matter how ridiculous the argument.
Because if you look back over their posts, they aren't against porn, they are just trying to twist and bend everything to make Anitasizzle look as good as possible. As for Scotus, well as we all know there's a lot of weirdos lingering around these boards, who knows what his background is. Almost every guy in Ireland wanks to porn daily, there's no problems there.
Also I would argue that doing straight-forward porn in a rough way is worse than BDSM or "humiliation" or rape-fantasy type of porn, because that's what they would like to try. Although I am skeptical over if it would anyway.
Wrong, but then comprehension is not your strong point sweetums. I believe in freedom of speech, not bandwagons. If you read my comments again, I do not agree with Anita. However, I respect her opinion. Respect is rather lacking in your vocabulary.
