Well there you go. I think some guys think we've nothing else to do other than be messed about by people who think their time is far more important than ours. Very frustrating.

A booking is a verbal contract and should be treated as such. You would not break a verbal contract without good reason for most transactions, so why here? Many businesses charge you if you do not turn up and rightly so if you do it last minute or without any warning. If you book a hotel, you can cancel, but often you can't cancel the day before or on the day you are meant to arrive without forfitting some money. I think some people don't value the booking they have made, because they will not lose out financially.
I once caught a client out who had booked me well in advance and given me a reference that was confirmed etc. Not only did he not turn up for his booking, but he rang me for the location and called me a different name. Basically he changed his mind and booked someone else, but didn't have the decency to cancel our booking.
Rumour has it he is or was a moderator here too. What he forgot by giving me a reference, is that the lady in question knew his identity. You would think the mods would at least treat Escorts with respect.
Just to clarify matters: how do Escorts classify someone as a time waster? I would have classed one as being someone who didn't turn up for an appointment and didn't bother notifying the Escort.
For example: let's say I phoned someone at 7:15 and made an appointment for 8.
But when I leave the house at 7:45, I get a call from my boss asking me to come into work. So I immediately phone/text the lady and cancel.
Would that be within the realm of acceptability, as I let you know I couldn't make it? Or would I be marked down as a time waster?
I would call a timewaster someone who doesn't turn up or cancel.
Or someone who confirms their appointment then doesn't show up.
If a new client cancels me twice in a row, he is a timewaster in my book so he will not get a third chance, I tend to give people who cancel once a second chance but not a third.
And I tend to call a person a timewaster like the one I had today, I knew in my gut he was going to cancel so I text him last nite, he confirms then cancels today so I wouldn't take another appointment from someone like that.
What Kendra said and also taking into account if you have met before and if they are normally reliable. If you have a client you have met several times without a hitch, then a once off as you described is not going to get you blocked or thought of as a timewaster, but if you try a second time and do it again, then you need to think about what conditions are you are trying to book under and if you need to make sure your time is your own first.
I appreciate that this is a huge frustration for escorts and Kendra's experience is a salutary example of how such messing ruined her revenue.
I do not however agree with the practice of requesting deposits. I have not been met with such a request as yet but do not think I would proceed to booking if asked. As you have said, the booking is a verbal contract and there has to be an element of good faith on both sides.
I have been let down on a number of occasions but have never felt the need to leave an N/A review. I have always felt that maybe the lady thought I was a time waster or just got a bad vibe about the booking. Her prerogative and her safety always paramount. I'm sure I have been double booked too but again, it's just the way of things. I merely don't contact again. Just a fact of life here.
However, easy for me to say as I lose no money from the failure of escorts who do not show the courtesy of cancelling appointments.
This is what gets me, I get guys cancel last minute because something came up at work and so therefor is obviously more important than seeing us....not realising that this is our work and so therefor just as important as their work is to them. I think some think we do this just for the fun of it and nothing else. So I would much prefer for my clients only to book me if it's their own free time or they are sure that nothing more important will crop up. If someone can't make me that promise then they are better off booking someone who is available at short notice for when they are available x
I would love to think they we could ask for a deposit because it would lower the timewasters but as much as we moan about timewasters, it's just an occupational hazard in this business and we kinda have to live with it.
There are unfortunately too many dishonest people in the world, not just this business that makes it unfair to ask a client for a deposit, it's just not the done thing HOWEVER if it's a client from another city wanting an outcall for an overnight booking or something then I would expect my travel to be paid in advance so I am not out of pocket for travelling to a timewaster.
xx
Stephanie, I would never normally text a client other than the day of the booking but in this case, because of my gut feeling....I told the client that I would text him when he arrives in Glasgow the nite before (for reassurance) so he was expecting my text. I would never text a client out of the blue unless given permission cause you never know what their home life situation is. Anyway, my gut feeling was right in this case.
u will find time wasters in every walk off life, and whatever work u do,and sometimes it will fuck up your day or night,
Personally I only ask for a deposit if someone has no client history, i.e. they can't give me a referral and they want to book in advance, book an outcall or an extended booking of more than an hour. On these occasions I feel that it is not wrong to ask for some kind of security.
If I'm to drive for 30 mins there and back to see a total stranger, not only are there there concerns that he may be an axe murder, but it could be a hoax and then I'm not just out of pocket for fuel costs, but I've also wasted an hour of my time on the road, so can't even pick up the phone to the next client to see them and with the longer bookings. If I know I have a longer booking I will either not work or see less people beforehand to make sure I'm fresh and have plenty of energy for them. I could potentially lose a whole days work based on a 'hope' the person would turn up.
So... you likely wouldn't be asked for a deposit from me either, but I have asked clients and clients do pay it. We can't all live on blind faith.

Yes, your final point is well made and one I hadn't considered. That would only be fair to expect.
Thanks
[QUOTE=whoseyourdaddy;1433041]Yeah like for example, I am in Glasgow and have been asked to do an overnight with someone in London so I would expect my travel to be paid in advance. I no longer do long bookings or overnights with someone I haven't met before anyway x
she's gorgeous
Why would anyone bother wasting people's time? Have they not got better things to do?
Just out of interest, would Belfast be bad for time wasters compared to Dublin?
And can you get an indication on the phone if the person is going to be a time waster or not?
I am in Belfast now and was last week in Dublin.
In my opinion Belfast has more % timewasters than Dublin. MAybe the northern irish can lie better. As Stephanie said, i also work with instinkt and after few sentences i almost always recognize TW`s or just wankers who masturbate by hearing my voice (without sending top up!). In 2days 2 of my regulars didn´t show up after literarly begging for the appointment as i wasn´t available but made a slot for them and without any apology or explain.
But i still will give them chance (to the regulars) next time as this always can happen, but atleast 1sms would be appreciated.
Today i had phonecall from someone who wasted my time last year (i save all TW´s numbers!), after explaining everything i just added: dont forget to top up my phone as an deposit, it will be deducted later from the rate. He of course didnt show up, but i am 99% sure he will not show up without to pay deposit either.
I'm surprised that Belfast would be bad for timewasters. I'd always associated it with the south.
I've heard one person mention that the main tell tale sign of a timewaster is one who stays on the phone with the escort too long.
What other signs are there?
An interesting observation and I too have heard a lot of girls say the country is full of time wasting messers and lots of no shows
The country is actually full of them...i don't mind when there are a lot of people who are calling and not coming(the ones who ask for the normal services) the ones that really piss me up are those who ask for more special things example watersports which require actually something a little bit more special and don't show for the booking...wtf that's rude.if the punters want to be treated nice by an escort so do we. To be really nice and outogiong with someone makes the difference.to respect someone as you want to be respected takes a little bit of effort
I wouldn't say time wasters, i'd say its coz of the price these girls charge
100-120 for half hour, do I get a gold bar with that booking ?!?!?!
Why has this thread not been deleted ? It racist, all time wasters should be treated with respect regardless of nationality colour or creed.
I made a sweeping generalisation regarding a certain nationality of escorts recently and it was deleted ? Where is the fairness in all of this .
Has anyone noticed that the White Christian Western Male are only people left that can be held 100% responsible for all the iill's of the entire world !
