Tom rightly criticised the Australian judiciary for the utter lack of respect they treated sex workers that Bayley raped , allowing Bayley to effectively carry out his abuses which resulted in Jill Meaghar's death.
But now Tom , himself , sees fit to ignore the wishes of sex workers in this country for full,recognised rights in favour of his own views on prostitution. And because, Tom is an eloquent ,respectful man who survived a terrible trauma , his views carry some weight.He is also an 'untouchable' because of what he suffered who undoubtedly is using his episode to try and do good.
Except that he completely invalidates the wishes and voices of sex workers ALL over the planet who strongly object to his automatic 'victimisation' accusation and more pertinent to Ireland the 98% of the sex workers in the QUB survey.
Should Tom Meaghar's voice be considered more important than the sex workers themselves ? Apparently so but that doesn't surprise any, does it ?
