Just heard the above advert on newstalk - unfortunately , having heard some of Dil's previously blinkered views (eg. criticising the nevin family problems getting served alcohol in mullingar without bothering to mentioni their anti-social behaviour that preceded it - reinforcing the show's one-sided 'anti-minority' slant ) i suspect that the same one-sided 'expoitation' propaganda will be regurgitated.
Might give it a chance but will prob send in a text critical of the show if both sides aren't appropriately debated.Not that they'll read it out.

Watched the playback. It could have been worse. It was 3 against 2 all the same. However our side got some good points in.
That TOTRL person called Nessa was very annoying. She likes to generalise when all cases are different. Not all sex workers are exploited which as been said umpteen times on this forum. Also she can't speak for all people with disabilities when she says that their sexual needs are not a priority. They are either granted their right to have their sexual needs fufilled or they are not.
The Rape Crisis spokesperson is not a very constructive person either. Rape is wrong. I am talking to the converted when saying this. However she is wrong also to make generalisations about men or clients of sex workers. Her or someone like her once said that looking at Page 3 models caused rape. If that was the case there would be millions of rapists in Britain as the most popular paper there has a page 3 model in it.
how could that idiot Nessa say that a person with disabillities are not a priority hasn't she been watch the para olympics and that is actually not a good comment to make it's quiet ignorant actually and discrimination. As maybe it's the only way they get the confiedence is to go with an escort and it gives them some normality. Every body has sexual needs. And saying page 3 models cause rape!!! err NO there are just some sick nasty people who are twisted who want to feel power. Sounds like she made herself sound an idiot with no common sense at all. sounds like a bitter twisted woman who is sex starved !!!!

You're dead right Toya. That's exactly what that TOTRL spokesperson is.
Its a shame in this day and age that there is still small mind and uneducated people in Government that still feels the needs to take a way people's own decessions and control what people can do soon it will be you can only think how they think. Maybe if she actually had the ball's to meet with some one in the sex industry she would realise we are normal people and not monsters.

The thing I found strange was her accent. Now I may be wrong but she sounded Spanish. Nothing wrong with Spaniards, just that there's legal brothels in Spain. Did she lose her battle there and decide to come here and make us all pay for her defeat?
