Notice that there's no mention of the departments own Discussion Document. Is that because it shows all arguments for and against. Another way to manipulate the truth.

Also looked at the departments submissions page and it does seem set up for organisations and not individuals like my self, a blue collar worker.

See they want name and address, and then later says this is a public process. So don't mind submitting my name etc if my anonymity is guaranteed. But will it be?

When you click on the link http://www.oireachtas.ie/parliament/media/committees/factsheets/Fact-Sheet-5--MakingSubmissions-and-Presentations-to-Oireachtas-Committees.pdf it doesn't find the page. This is the link for more information on submitting a presentation.

Traveller, I seriously think you have pdf set up arsewise, cos it just opened for me try a direct link:
http://www.oireachtas.ie/parliament/media/committees/justice/notice-for-web.pdf

Anyway, you can make arrangements for your submission to go to the committee stripped of identifying details, OR you can submit anonymously, as "further information" through someone who has give identifying details, as I have.

I am happy to append any submiision to my own whether I agree with it or not.

AH!!!

There is a dash missing between "making" and "submissions":
http://www.oireachtas.ie/parliament/media/committees/factsheets/Fact-Sheet-5--Making-Submissions-and-Presentations-to-Oireachtas-Committees.pdf

That will get you there...

There will likely be some special arrangements for the committee in the sense that video may be suspended and names can be kept confidential (It has been done before for people in sensitive situations). It is also likely that there will be two separate sessions for the two sides of the debate.
