View Full Version : Thanks button for reviews?

I've asked about this before but I'd just like to bring it up again. On numerous occasions I have read a review that I found to be either helpful or enjoyable to read so is it not possible to add a thanks button to the reviews same way there is one on a forum post. How hard could it be? Would be a nice simple way to give and get feedback on ones reviews!!

Feedback on reviews? Reviewing the reviews. Classic. Do you want to play teacher for a while Anon? lol. If you feel really strongly about it, why not write suggestions in the review section?

I don't think it's necessary to have 'thanks' all over a review either. You might find it helpful but that's your opinion, which has no relevance. The review is between the escort and client only. Pm the client and thank him instead :)

Not about me at all, they don't even have to be profile linked, I actually would like to thank some guys for taking the time to put up a helpful review..

PS you are thinking about me way too much :p

That's where you are 100% wrong, I would argue a review has nothing to do with the escort unless she disputes it. A review is left by a client for other clients so he can see if she is good or bad hence why as a client I would like to thank the occasional reviewer for his review.

We should agree to differ then as the review is about the escort and can have a massive impact on her business. I understand where you're coming from, the reviews are for other clients but I don't think all this thank you business has any place on the actual review. That's it.

That's where we do differ, you see a review having an effect on a ladies profile is a side effect and if she doesn't want reviews to have a negative effect then that's her problem to ensure as many clients as possible leave with a happy face, how it effects the lady shouldn't really come into it. If the review isgenuine and honest that's all that matters.
Now as a client, something the directly involves me I'd like to see a thanks button. Any other clients feel the same way?

I agree.

There's something comforting about trusting a trustworthy one's thanks of trusted review.

Many previously trusted reviewers were scumbags who used their little shiny badges to take advantage of ladies, even going as far as to try and blackmail them. So I think this thank you button would be open to abuse too.

Maybe the ladies were scared of the backlash? There's a whole lot of things a disgruntled client can do to escorts :(

Also what would be the point of naming the guy to other clients? It's unprofessional, even though their actions were wrong in the first place. An eye for an eye isn't always the best cause of action.

It didn't happen to me but I'd have had no problem alerting the management of the site if it did.

outing a bad client is retarded

firstly the girl who reported him, not get a new harasser

he will then change is number and usernames

thus putting girls in danger, so by not letting them know, we can control it

believe me if we went outting bad clients and general pain in the arseholes on there boards

we be here all day

Incognitos reply sums it up. Trust. Some people will trust those with many reviews and posting history, not knowing about the whole 'trusted reviewer' fiasco. So the 'thanks' that this trusted person may add to the review can have an effect. It could be used as a bargaining tool for those trying to get extra time/free appointment and so on.

Is that a little clearer?

What if instead of a thanks button you have a system like on sites such as amazon etc. to say if you found the review useful or not?

a thumbs up or thumbs down button to show either way

Not only is a Thank you button a GREAT idea, but,

How about we take it up a notch.
Encourage civility, restore politeness.............

A Thank the Thanker button, with a You're Welcome button in between !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a simple request, nothing more than a thanks, doesn't even have to say who gave the thanks, good idea mate, this review has x amount of thumbs up or down.

Is that a little clearer? No need for the attitude Alex, like I said, report the wankers, the argument is there that anyone can claim to be a poster here, I'd be surprised if nobody ever turned up claiming to be someone else but if a pattern emerges then there profile can be removed and bang goes there ability to blackmail / get extra time!
It all can be done easily and anonymously, it's not rocket science, one would think you don't want to report all these guys because it's all hearsay and speculation, you yourself are here claiming it has happened but with no first hand knowledge. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it does happen, I've named a few bad eggs myself, nothing was ever done because A) I got no support from ladies and b) on the contrary the only ladies to speak up were ones coming to their defence..
You can't have it every way, bitch about reviewers abusing the system yet refusing on every turn to do anything about it.
It also seems to me some ladies don't want clients to have any say what so ever

In case you were wondering which Trusted reviewer I speak of:

I didn't have an attitude anon, I was genuinely trying to explain why I thought it was a bad idea. Don't be so touchy, my earlier comment about you being a cock must have hit a nerve. I was taking the piss btw.

Some things are none of the clients business anon, that includes the names of ladies who've had bad experiences with clients. I've been fortunate enough not to experience anything like what some unscupulous trusted reviewers were doing - probably because I'm very forward and don't take shit. Friends of mine, also escorts have had bad experiences. I've spoken to them on the phone straight afterwards and supported them while they were deciding what to do, if anything. Everybody is different and people handle things differently. Again, it's not as simple as black and white here. Read between the lines. If you report someone and we all know who they are, they simply change their details and we wont know who they are which can be dangerous in some cases. It's not all about - succh and such writes bad reviews so I want to avoid him. You've been here a long time, how many clients have turned into nutcases when things don't go their way? Many. We're women who are forced by the law to work alone. We don't want to invite extra trouble into our lives by aggrivating the already mad bastards.

We can't have it every which way? No we can't. Neither can clients. It's all about compromise. The review system is already open to abuse and this seems like another way it can be abused. That's what I don't like. I honestly don't think it's necessary but we're adult, a difference of opinion is fine.

Someone mentioned amazon, the thumbs up/thumbs down. Then talk about respect! We're people, not inanimate objects that will be the same for every person buying them. We might be perfect for one person but refuse point blank to see another for personal reasons. Being reviewed can be traumatic for some, so adding to this with a silly button isn't nice. If you'd like to thank someone, pm them! They'd appreciate it, I'm sure. I don't even reply on my reviews, I pm the person to thank them instead as I think the review doesn't need me to add anything to it. If I did, I'd start sounding very same-same. 'Great to meet you' 'Lovely guy' 'Can't wait for next time'.

Why this obsession with thanking reviews? Isn't there anything more constructive to be doing? Maybe measure your cock (again) lol. I'm joking here in case you accuse me of having an attitude etc again.

Thanks button for reviews? Why, ohh why someone would need something like this?

You'll end up anyway with a bunch of site regulars just thanking each other reviews :D and this won't make any difference to the actual review system, to clients who don't leave reviews and to escorting business themselves.

If you want to thank someone, just PM them or start a thread about it.

It's not a bad idea but it's a bit vague if the escort wants to write a comment which they can should suffice. Maybe I'm reading the post wrong is it a thanks button from other posters if it is I think it's wrong cos it would be be written more for ego.

How a lady conducts her business or protects herself is none of any clients business but I still don't accept that these people can be left alone just because they can change identity, I don't want to know details but I would like to think they are clearly named in the private forum or known to the managers if you feel even the private forum is compromised.

If there were a thank you button, would people not equally want a thumbs down or this wasn't a helpful accurate review.
Both could be open to abuse. It would lead to not only having to weigh up the content of a review, but then are you to take into a found the amount of thumbs up or down ?
Now if these are anonymous how are they trustworthy or hold any credibility ?

If not anonymous then it will most likely lead to groups thanking each others reviews in order to build up their reputations.

I think best left alone, if you feel it warrants it Pm the reviewer. It was just a thought open for discussion mate, no need to be called a walking cock for it :D

I suggest you drop the assumption that I meant it as you're wrong. I didn't. It was a bit of a joke that you've chosen to take too seriously. The way I see it, if you continually bring something up about yourself then it's fair game. I said it in jest anon.

You're right, it is none of the clients business. I previously posted that I'd have no problem in letting management know about bad clients and many other ladies feel the same. Just because it's not in the public arena doesn't mean the information isn't there. It's available to those it might effect which doesn't include other clients.
