The whole "Irish is not a foreign language, give us our own forum" is pure crap. That's a smokescreen. It's all about putting one over on the mods.
Which I am all in favour of, by the way :D

So what are you complaining about Mousey?

Perhaps I'm not complaining at all, but making a clever attempt at satire? That thing that mods don't get? ;)

An fad "nach í an Ghaeilge teanga iasachta, tabhair dúinn ár bhfóram féin é" cacamas íon. Sin a smokescreen. Tá sé ar fad a chur faoi aon os a chionn ar an mods. A bhfuil mé go léir i bhfabhar, dála an scéil :D

Christ, only in Ireland could a site like this attract such a topic/thread. Why would anyone want to discuss a dead, unattractive to learn as well as listen to language which was forced down the mouths of those unfortunate enough to have to attend primary school in the early 1900s..? Imagine being told, "Forget your English, from today on you'll learn EVERYTHING (except R.K. wouldn't you know,) through F****** Irish! So you had a race of people functionally illiterate in 2 languages. The same nonsense appears today in Irish schools. Not to mention the money wasted here on the dinosaur....
Should we also have an organised religion discussion group/thread....Pog ma thon!
