I clicked on "like" on facebook.
Anything else I can do.
Sorry but you need to spell it out for me.
Doesn't appear to show my name on it so I'm glad to oblige and apparently I'm the third to like!
Cheers,
Nathan

welcome nathan...keep posting mate
Hi OnlyMe,
May I suggest: Run for TD in the upcoming election, win it and propose a law to legalise sex work so that the girls deserve the respect they have been owed for far too long! Unfortunately, that means we may have to pay VAT so propose another law to abolish that while you're at it.
Just a suggestion... ;)
Cheers,
Nathan
So if I like this it wont tell everyone on my friends list that I've done it?
if thats the case I'll go do it now. :-)

Here is a report that Granada showed about protecting sex workers, it features a support group in Liverpool.

Grand so. I'll go do it.
I couldn't give a fuck. I stand proud.
ffs, I have always resisted the Facebook phenomenon. despite loads of people saying to join, i keep telling them if they want to communicate with me they can phone, text, email or visit me.
Up until now I have managed to avoid the damn thing. But this is the best reason yet, so VJ, your persuasive powers have convinced me. Any suggestions for a Facebook name before I go ahead and sign up

I stand corrected VJ. I obviously misread the op slightly, and got distracted by my first ever visit to facebook.

no thats my job!
no thats my job!
Ah that's the real Benny. :)
With the greatest of respect to the OP and to the campaign, which I agree is a worthwhile cause...
... why would I do anything to jeopardise my anonymity (not that I don't do enough by posting on these boards)? I don't give my real name on dates, I leave my credit card at home, I even drive my 'other' car. Trying to get escorting/escorts/punters to be brought into the mainstream is all well and good, but I am not going to risk the general public (whose opinions on what we do are pretty much enshrined in stone and not going to change anytime soon) turning their attention my way by supporting anything like this.

You can set up profiles without giving your real name, just as you do on here, so there is no pressure or expectation on anyone to give up their anonimity :)
With all due respects to VJ - love the new avatar - Facebook is confusing and can be a dangerous place.

The whole of the internet can be a dangerous place in the wrong hands, as can be the real world.

Thank you Jackie. I have felt very frustrated at my inability to do anything about this attack on safe consensual escorting that we all enjoy. Just let us know what to do and I'm in. (I'll have to get a fake facebook account this weekend first, not going to use my real account - that would raise more than eyebrows!!)

Im a little confused here as u said this campagain is about opposing the criminalisation of sex work. Is sex work not already a criminal offence? Is the campaign about the legalisation of sex work maybe? The prosecuting of clients is a different issue altogether as in places like Sweeden the big change is that the girls are legal its the clients that are not. This new idea thats
being floated for leglislation in Ireland if my interpretation is correct is that no law regarding the ladies would be changed just
that a client paying for sex would be added as an offence.
more and more clients seek merely professional, relaxing, encounters.
a girl told me in confidence, "many come to talk, some just need a rest from reality"
